The Pure Language of Love: A Book of Poetry by Erick Pasquale Forsythe
()
About this ebook
Erick Pasquale Forsythe
Erick Pasquale Forsythe was born in Daytona Beach, Florida but now lives in Clarkesville, Georgia. He first started writing poetry in 1995 while living in Hohenwald, Tennessee. He is the father of two beautiful daughters; Stefany Carissa Forsythe and Abbigail Jane Forsythe. Erick received the poetic torch from his father, Pasquale William Forsythe, who himself is also a well accomplished writer. Erick uses poetry as both a portal to the past and a gateway to the future. Sometimes the past simply cannot be forgotten. Therefore he chooses to memorialize it through the written word. Likewise the future can at times be so within reach yet so unattainable that the only way to control it is by confining it to paper through his pen. Poetry is for Erick what therapy is for most others. It is a channel through which the deepest of emotions, struggles, joys, regrets, hopes, dreams and fears are all expressed without prejudice or judgment. For Erick, poetry equals existence. Erick Pasquale Forsythe finds life to be complete when he is able to express himself through poetry and then share the results with friends, family and anyone else who may benefit from it. He does not write for fortune or fame, he writes because it is his love and his passion. These are the markings of a true poet; one that writes to touch and be felt rather than to be seen or praised. It is Forsythes hope that you find comfort and solace within these poems. It would also be very much appreciated if you would Like him on Facebook by searching for “Erick Forsythe”.

Love At Its Finest
The Cries Of A Broken Heart

Glory Be To God
The Walks Of Life
This book is a compilation of many years worth of
writing and battling with the pen; forcing it to release
the thoughts and expressions my tongue would not.
At times it felt as if I would never accomplish the task of
gathering some of my works together in one place to be
published. At times I wondered if there was even any point.
Over time though I began receiving more and more support to
pursue completing a book. There are far too many names to
mention on one page but you know who you are.
I wish to express a special thanks to each and every one of
you whom stuck by my side even when the world turned its back.
I would be completely and utterly lost without you. Though I have
told you before I feel I cannot say this enough,
I love you.
Though there are many people that have refused to let
me give up on my dream of publishing, there are three in
particular I wish to now dedicate this book to. There are others
of course, and they know who they are, that I would like to mention
but for the sake anonymity I will not.
This book is hereby dedicated to:
Pasquale William Forsythe
Stefany Carissa Forsythe
Abbigail Jane Forsythe
Again, I love you all so very much. Thank you. I owe you everything.
Love At Its Finest
Chapter-1.JPGAbove Reproach
Its easy to fall before you see
That love inspires every breath you breathe.
As hard as we try we always find
A heart will not remain confined.
Love swallows you whole, consumes your soul.
Over your life it can take control.
A treacherous heart in each of us lies,
Full of false promises and compromise.
To keep a clear mind is not an easy task,
But we cannot always give what love may ask.
Our own desires must be put aside.
It is in Jehovah we much confide.
He is the one we must seek to please,
For not the way man sees is the way God sees.
If I do my part to put Jah first
Then with His blessings I’ll be immersed.
If this love is good in His eyes
Then ours will be a love which never dies.
I love you deeply, more than you know.
I long for us to reach the next plateau.
With Jehovah entwined in this threefold cord
We can surely overcome all in this world.
If upon sins threshold we do not encroach,
We will always remain above reproach.
Aspiration
Patience is a virtue, one I struggle with.
At time I sit and wonder if its just a myth.
I see the prize before me, the object of my dreams.
I want to reach and grasp it, the urge is so extreme.
The feelings are complete, nothing short of pure.
I want to hold her heart but she needs to feel secure.
She’s praying to Jehovah and trying to separate
The facts from the fiction before they correlate.
She cannot move too quickly without being sure
If this is really love or just a false detour.
She knows how she feels, she has her own dreams;
But its yet to be determined how they involve me.
I could tell her that I love her a thousand times a day;
I could hold her in my arms and chase her fears away.
As I press my lips to hers, place my hands upon her skin,
I’ll erase all of her pain and all the misery within.
Whispering I love you
while I stare into her eyes,
Holding her tight until her prayers are satisfied.
Her troubles become mine, no more will she stress.
True love and happiness will be all she’ll possess.
Once I have her in my arms I’ll never set her free;
Will not rest until her dreams have become reality.
The love of my life and the life of my heart,
I’ll bring meaning to her soul that will never depart.
Beyond My Dreams
I don’t know how or even why
But I’m completely sure its not a lie.
For me to have dreamed of receiving this
Would have been total foolishness.
Somehow or another my dreams came true,
Yet they got even better when I met you.
My dreams included peace and love,
Never an angel did I dream of.
I don’t deserve to be loved by you.
I don’t deserve you helping me through.
Whatever it was that has brought us together,
I’m hoping and praying it will last forever.
It is very clear and plain to see
The many changes you have brought forth in me.
You’ve brought my heart back to life,
Now I’m asking you to be my wife.
No, not today or tomorrow, but later down the road.
For I will love you forever, with my whole heart and soul.
Bitter Sweet
The air turns to ice within my chest.
Struggling to breathe, cannot decompress.
Her smile, her eyes… oh my God her face;
How could so much beauty be found in one place?
The mold wasn’t broken when you were made,
Rather you are the angel it tries to convey.
The words are bitter sweet, poison on my tongue.
I’m engrossed in the dreams I find myself among.
I long for your touch, to taste perfection;
To all my errors you could bring correction.
You may not agree with the things I say or do,
But please believe me when I say I love you.
Now here is the problem, the one barricade.
This heart I desire seems to be the one forbade.
The fruit is so close, within my reach;
Yet I cannot obtain that which I seek.
Will she open up, just give me a chance?
Will she be the one who reminds me how to dance?
Forbidden fruit, I simply do not understand.
How can something so wrong feel so pure and so grand?
A great friend at least, if stuck in that role.
But my hunger still lingers; I do not feel whole.
If my love is on hold then on hold it will be;
It will live forever and always inside of me.
Blessing
I’ve dedicated my life, handed over my soul.
Where ever the Lamb goes, I will follow.
Out of the world and into the crowd;
Etched in stone are the words I’ve vowed.
I’ll play a humble role or be a supernova.
I’ll do whatever is the will of Jehovah.
What I do I do for no reward.
With all His laws I live in accord.
I tried my path and lost direction,
Made my mistakes and took the correction.
In my darkest hour, within my deepest fear;
When everything had vanished He was still there.
The blessing and the malediction, He gave me the choice.
If only you would listen to my voice.
My heart, my body, my soul and my mind,
In love they are given to the one who designed
These particles of dust which He took from the ground
Then with righteousness chose to crown.
Jehovah my God, I have read your word,
How you’ll satisfy my desire in the new world.
All your servants with blessings you will shower
As we run to you, our refuge and our tower.
I ask you please to consider my volition,
Instead of numerous blessings, I have only one petition.
On bended knee, my head held low;
Please read my heart, my thoughts do know.
You’ve promised an abundance, blessings to abound;
But I only want one, this love new found.
This woman you have brought into my life
Please grant me her hand as my wife.
Show me what you would have me do.
Reveal to me that you have approved.
I ask not for riches or longer days.
Only to be granted the love portrayed.
I will ask for nothing more whatsoever.
I only want her to be my forever.
Broken Peace
Whether or not its my place to say
Doesn’t matter anyway.
When its on my mind like this
I have no choice but to confess.
I’m going to tell whats in my heart,
Ignoring the pain its bound to start.
I see all the Heavens stars within her eyes.
Every time I look I’m instantly hypnotized.
That loving affection that God had in mind
When I look in her eyes that is what I find.
Whenever I’m sad or feeling down
Those loving eyes lift me off the ground.
There’s never been anyone as sweet as her.
From her loving touch we have much to learn.
Her heart holds the deepest love,
The kind intended by the Father above.
I’ve never held anything that felt so right.
With her I know I’ve found the meaning of life.
I know I shouldn’t say what I say.
However, its not my fault I feel this way.
Love conquers all of jealousy, all of greed.
If you have love what else do you need?
The answer to that is simple and plain,
If you have love you’ve already got everything.
Chance
A second, a minute, an hour, a day.
How much longer before its too late?
Tomorrows not promised, yesterday is gone.
Today will fade if I wait too long.
Before my heart beats once more
I must confess what I long for.
Your happiness, your joy, your piece of mind,
Erasing the pain we’ve left behind.
Hand in hand to dance under stars.
Accepting each other just as we are.
Whisper I love you
throughout the night,
Fall asleep while holding you tight.
In your presence, I want to be there,
To run my fingers through your hair.
To experience perfection as we kiss,
The taste of eternity upon your lips.
Look into your eyes, peer into your soul,
Grab a hold and never let go.
One chance, that’s all I need.
Take that chance and believe in me.
Open your heart and let me in.
Its time for our forever to begin.
A second, a minute, an hour, a day,
The way I feel will never change.
Chime
No man can explain what true love is.
No man alone can unfold its crevices.
Its a meaning too deep for him to understand.
Its territories to him are
