Best Friends Forever: The Story of Bandit

About this ebook
If you have lost a beloved pet or have one that is getting older, this book was written for you, to give you hope.
This is the life story of Bandit, our Siberian husky. If you've never had a husky, you will be in for a pleasant surprise. They are extremely intelligent creatures and love to socialize with people. They can't have a conversation with us, but certainly not for lack of trying! If they could form syllables, we would not get a word in edgewise.
I also give credit to God for answering my prayers for Bandit, as well as actual Scriptures pertaining to animals in the Bible, and how we struggled to live through the loss. He was my best friend.

The Story of Bandit is the true story of our life with a Siberian husky. We lived through all of this, and it is a firsthand experience of what it is like to lose an important pet in our lives. He should have enjoyed being up north, but instead, Bandit lived in Florida with me, my husband, and my two sons.

Preface
If you have lost a pet, this booklet is for you. It is the life story of my beloved Siberian Husky, and the consolation to be found in God’s Word, as well as in personal revelation and confirmation from our loving God. May you and yours be blessed.
This is written in dedication to one of God’s most beautiful creation masterpieces - the Siberian Husky.
My heart still aches in sadness,
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
no one will ever know.

THE STORY
OF BANDIT
When my son, Brett, was 17, he talked me into getting a dog. It was kind of a hard sell, since I hadn’t had one in 27 years! Knowing I would be the one who ended up taking care of it, I finally said, It’ll have to be the kind I want,
and he was okay with that.
All my life, I wanted a Siberian Husky, and now was my chance! The owner of a kennel in North Carolina sent us a video tape, and we were able to choose which puppy we wanted. We chose a black and white male with a black mask around his light blue eyes. The kennel owner shipped him to us, all by himself, on an airplane. He was so beautiful! He had several champions in his lineage, one being his grandmother, Champion Red Sonja, and we registered him with the AKC.
On the way home from the airport, we were surrounded
