About this ebook

"We can forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." --- Plato

Even after Dr. Martin Luther King was shot, his dreams are still alive and have been passed to the next generation to pursue freedom, democracy, equality, justice, peace, and prosperity. Thanks to his wake-up call and pains-taking efforts, modern society is much more open-minded and tolerant towards differences.

A good leader should be a good reader; A good reader can become a good leader. Reading minds can be as challenging as reading books. It feels good to be approved, appreciated, and accepted by so many intelligent people. I hope to reach out to more people and make more connections, which are vital.

    Sept. 25th, 2012

If a person is considered a machine, that is probably because he/she has a good command of logical thinking and writing. In other words, the way the person controls his/her own thinking and writing is just like that of a robot.

If a person is considered a ghost, that is probably not because he/she is intimidating, but because his/her thoughts and ideas are so earth-shaking that they seem to come from nowhere, or from another world.

Often times, we act or do things intuitively. We can feel something and can perform well (e.g. to write,to sing, to act, to compose, to handle challenges), but we are just not able to articulate very well our feelings, cognitive process, strategies of our actions or analyze the cause and effect of an issue/problem or a phenomenon. We might need more people who are expressive.

In the Bible study this past Sunday, we discussed a few questions including this one: what truths or practices have helped you to be more generous with your resources? Below were some thoughts of mine:

What comes around goes around. The favor we do to others might be returned someday in some ways. What is most memorable tend to be the timely help (be it financial or spiritual) that is provided when someone needs it the most.

From a selfish perspective, sharing and giving are like investments in our good character, good reputation, and interpersonal relationships.

From an altruist perspective, it is a pleasure to give,to share and to help those in need. When we help a homeless person in the street, we are not expecting anything in turn.

Furthermore, it is unpleasant to deal with calculating and stingy people and we don’t want to be such a person.

Finally, one good deed leads to another. Hopefully there will be more sharing, loving, and caring and the world will become a better place thanks to one good deed.

Money is the gateway to all the sins. Don’t let money block your view and your heart.

The spiritual dangers a rich person may face can be greed and pride. To overcome them, a person needs to be grateful and responsible for his/her actions. It is not a good idea to pollute the air of the society and the hearts of the children with excessive greed and pride.

In contrast, we may take pride in humble circumstance. The way I see this statement is like this: the world is lacking humble people as role models for us to look up to. Modest people shall take pride in their attitudes. They will eventually be elevated to a high position, become role models and remain modest.

When someone just focuses on his own stuff, he has nothing to lose or worry about.

He will be a spectator instead of a participant.

Would you like to help proud people who want to use you for free and exploit you to the fullest?

    Happiness is all that matters.

To put up with proud and mean people is just like holding your fart (excuse my English and vulgar metaphor). You may hold it for a few minutes, but not for a few days, not to mention for longer period of time.

    Sept. 24th

God forgives any sinners who come to him and accept him as the savior. This is the theory of Christianity.

Christians differ from one another because everyone is unique. It’s not a good idea to fit all Christians into one category and overgeneralize them.

Even Christians are divided by different denominations, languages, and ethnic groups. Not to mention the fact that religious people are divided by different religions. Perhaps people should be united instead—in one God.

People are at different stages of their spiritual journey and need realistic goals for each stage. A person who won’t share $100 with his siblings probably won’t share it with a stranger either.

Getting involved in Church helps to restore our faith in righteousness and altruism and clean our heart that is polluted by the society.

My book is expected to come out in December. This is what I am expecting to happen for real at least.

    The seating looks good. :)

I write about higher education and politics a lot.

It is a fun job to read, think, and write. It will be a perfect job if it comes with an income.

What kinds of posts are realistic in this case?

OK, so that is just a gesture?

It is not a vote but an opportunity for all. If it does not work, we can try other ways or other folks.

    Sept 23

Rabbits don’t eat lions, but you can’t expect lions not to eat rabbits. This is one of the jungle rules. But jungle rules are meant to be for beasts, not for humans. If we apply jungle rules to people, we are treating people as beasts.

Both a collection of pre-written thoughts and impromptu thoughts are helpful.

Talking to a nameless Ph.D. student damages our reputation. Spying on a nameless Ph.D. student damages his poor head and his intellectual properties. Of course our reputation matters more than anything else.

So we don’t want to hear true stuff?

As long as we are rich, we can spy on a Ph.D. student, X-ray his head, peek at his private life, and claim his head our property because the spying devices belong to us.

Is this the right message to send to the wo rld and to our next generations? By an abusive, selfish, and stingy hypocrite?

Some rich man is respected because of his money instead of his generosity. If he does not respect you and treat you as a mouse in the lab, plus he has not yet shared with you a quarter when you need it the most, what’s the point of respecting his money?

If you don’t respect his money, what does he have left for people to respect him? Mindless and heartless behaviors? Do you respect cruel people just because you are not able to be that cruel?

Imagine we are billionaires, we not only watch you suffering from poverty without sharing a dime, we also add headaches for you to suffer more. Do you still respect our money?

Quarters and dimes are changes for kids. When you have dollars, do you still need quarters and dimes? Would you trade your greed with happiness?

You want a famous and wealthy orphan; we might want a sweet and nice person without a father. The reason is similar—don’t wanna deal with their parents.

Aggressiveness is an animal instinct, which is a primitive feature.

No wonder there are more domestic violence cases in some countries than in others.

Would you pull out a gun or pull out a pen? When you do have power, you don’t need to show it to people all the time. Just like owning nuclear weapons but never use them.

Most kids like to fight with their fists, whereas adults tend to fight with their minds.

Both candidates mentioned capacity and vision as leadership qualities.Perhaps another leadership quality can be integrity/righteousness. You will be surprised to find out how many leaders seem to be righteous but are actually not.

    Sept 22th, Saturday

Some people have a golden heart, while others have a diamond heart—not that it is more shiny, but harder than a rock.

This is an easy but fun job. As long as he gets paid, he can keep educating and entertaining people, until . . . death sets us apart.

John Harvard might have not idea of the fact that the school that he founded with a handful of students and faculty would become a brand name top university in the world.

I am not lazy, simply not motivated, plus I have my own priority. A friend said to me.

    I read, I think, and I write.

He lives, he lies, and he dies.

You dream, you act, and you fly.

    Your ad high!

This will be real, if you go real.

If you are concerned about the potential risks, here is what you may need to know:

There are about 60 songs, 30 movies and TV shows in Hollywood and worldwide inspired by someone and referring to someone implicitly or explicitly.

There were quite a few big events and award ceremonies such as the London Olympic Games, the Oscar, the Grammy . . . etc. that made reference to someone.

There is a new book coming up, a collection of additional 60 pages of thoughts in English, and a few notebooks in Chinese.

And this is just the beginning. Though he could have done this 10 years ago, it is never too late to begin. With some funds and some time, it is a fun job. And this fun job can potentially lead to an abundance of possibilities and a bright prospect for all.

Handwritten notebooks can be more valuable because they are authentic. Handwriting contains more info (e.g. the mood, the cognitive process, the personality . . . etc. of the author) than an electronic file.

And their values may increase with the years passing by.

I am flexible The man said.

    Freedom and respect matter more.

If one family can not keep it, how about sharing it with a few more?

How many times did she leave him? One time for the market, second time for breaking a tooth, and the third time for a fake author. We might want to treat people the way we would like to be treated.

Trust can be more precious when it comes to family, politics, and business. Sometimes it can be easier to earn money than to earn trust.

Now you may understand why I would like to keep important thoughts in hand-written notebooks. Later on, I can always type them up. But the moment that I hand wrote the thoughts was precious.

Another thing is that sometimes when we are praised by others, we can easily puff up and lose control. That can be unpleasant.

Someone is not able to deal with people who are too proud or don’t know how to pretend to be modest.

How can this possibly be real if we keep talking implicitly? If we are not comfortable talking to each other directly, how can we meet up or run into each other by chance?

Someone has a basic theory for each party. Would you like to hear it?

We may talk about it face to face. It is nothing like creative capitalismlet the rich help the poor. It will be systematic, specific, and feasible.

Of course, any theory is subject to the scrutiny of the public and validated through practice.

It IS a fun job. Too bad it is not a paid job.

    Sept. 20th

Try to keep the substantial stuff on my paper notebooks and other places. What appears on social media will mostly be casual stuff.

As I mentioned before, I have been keeping a diary of my thoughts since elementary school. I have a few diary notebooks in which I documented my thoughts in Chinese.

I was told that when people contribute to some new philanthropic foundations, they might be able to win more hearts. When we have those hearts, we not only have their support but also their contributions in return. It is like a join venture.

    Sept. 19th

It feels good to take a break from Facebook. :)

Most guys are ashamed of their strong libido because they don’t wanna be called animals. But strong libido can be an indication of good health and can attract females.

    Some privacy will be appreciated . . . I can’t work like this . . .

    Watching only; no touching.

Killing the hen to take out an egg VS keeping the hen so that it hatches more eggs, which way is better in the long run?

Just finished tutoring SAT prep today :)

Thinking and writing is a fun job as long as it is a real one. :) . . . so are acting, singing, dancing, hosting a talk show/reality show, teaching . . . etc. as long as these are real jobs . . .

Professional reviews can help the readers evaluate the content and the quality of manuscripts.

    Sept. 18

Just be yourself, instead of being somebody else.

Success is not measured by how many times you have won, but by how many hearts you have won and how many people you have helped.

Someone’s conscience is still there. Sometimes all you need is to wake it up when it is asleep.

    Sept 17

Rationality and composure might help with resolving problems. Lots of people think with their butts and hearts, instead of their minds. As a result, they argue with one another with intensive emotion rather than with logical reasoning.

Crowd or group psychology is quite different from individual psychology. A rational individual may lose his/her mind under the influence of a big crowd.

We should learn lessons from history.

Previously some people claimed that their ancestors were not humans but immortals from heaven. If they can claim that as their family history, what else they dare not claim?

Since their ancestors were not humans but immortals from heaven, presumably their ancestors are still alive because immortals are not supposed to die. Furthermore, if immortals don’t die, how come the decedents of immortals die? Do they have different genes or were there mutations of genes? Biologists may probe into these questions.

Up till now, there are still instances where power talks. That is to say, powerful people and powerful countries decide what is right and what is wrong. If they punch your face, it is still your fault because your face is in the way of their fists or even your face hits their fists accidentally. Perhaps it is about time to reveal truth without much bias or strong emotions. Instead of power talks and money talks, let the truth, the facts, the logical reasoning talk. Let people hear something real and rational.

One of the admissions processes that each doctoral student in our program of NYU need to go through is to read a 10-page research paper and critique it with about 1000 words within a 3-hour time frame. We have more professional training like that after we are admitted to the program.

We may do something similar but shorter to prove that we are the real author of a manuscript or something.

If you don’t have that something but pretend to have it, you are doomed to lose the lawsuit.

My brother started to read at the age of 2 and I did that at 6 thanks to our exposure to a large collection of books and journals of my dad who was a professor. I began to keep a diary of my reflections and thoughts at 9 and kept doing that on and off for many years. My way of thinking and writing has been consistent.

Someone may look like a gentleman in his suit; but based on what he does, is he considered a gentleman or a hypocrite?

Why would some people appreciate a hypocrite whose comments were not impressive at all on his own stage?

Have you not seen a gentleman wearing a suit? What kind of gentleman qualities does he have?Telling lies after lies?

He is not intelligent enough. Even worse, he is not righteous. What good will he do? Good for nothing! The look? Give me a break. He is not that good looking at all.

    Sept 16

Try to keep those dry thoughts on paper and the casual stuff on social media.

Might need to make more connections with Asian leaders.

It has been 2 years. I mentioned this to no more than 6 people in my real life. Most of them thought I was delusional.

As I mentioned before, it might be possible to form a new party that blurs the party lines if we could get enough support from different groups of people.

How about a new talk show, a new reality show, a new movie, a new book, a new religion, and a new party . . . etc.? There are lots of possibilities and potentials. Time is all that matters.

As far as I am concerned, alternative life style is not fun at all. No need to live such a life for the sake of money. We will make money by ourselves.

If we could communicate and collaborate on the basis of our common ground, common interests, common goals, and mutual understanding, we might be able to accomplish a lot and bring peace and prosperity to more people.

    Sept 15

The country singer is tall, deceptively righteous and kind-hearted, and good looking . . . He might have what it takes to become the No.1 puppet celebrity on this planet if he could prove that he has sustainable power and keeps producing original thoughts. Chinese farmer doesn’t need more fame, but simply peaceful free life and the compensation he deserves. If you all are ready, let’s make it happen. Or if anyone has another better candidate on his/her mind, we can discuss that too.

Had a better understanding of the world recently . . .

Appreciate the thought . . . But Chinese farmer is just a weak Man who is even tired of reading facebook posts. The fight against spying and headaches consumes so much time and energy that a farmer gets tired and lazy. The best place for a farmer to rule is in his bed with his 4 humble wives.

Master Lee established a kingdom of his cult through his publications, his TV channel, his newspaper, and his branch offices . . . etc. with the help of his brain-washed disciples. Master Lee did not even attend college, yet he published a cult theory of his own and claimed himself a Buddha. Don’t underestimate high school drop-outs.

Master Lee is truly an inspiration to cult leaders and dictators around the world. If a high school drop-out can make it like that, you might be able to make it too, in one way or another.

Master Lee, a high school drop-out, fights against the largest communist party in the world with his cult and his brain-washed disciples. Isn’t that amazing? Is he inspirational?

It is the same communist party that tied the war against the UN army consisting of 15 developed nations in the Korean war and gave the US a tough time in the Vietnam war a few decades ago.

My question, then, is : What is more powerful? The armies or the thoughts? The guns or the pens? What matters more—the skin or the mind?

Don’t forget the fact that each soldier, including the enemy’s soldier, is a human being whose life is as precious as that of yours, not to mention the civilians.

It is interesting to read the news report from both sides who are attacking each other relentlessly. Sometimes they exaggerate, sometimes they make it up, and sometimes they are telling the truth. When we read news reports from different sources, it is possible to piece together a big picture of how truth might look like and assess the validity of those news with our judgment.

BTW, so the fake authors might be talking and posting about Chinese masters today under their own names?

According to Ming Bao, a New York-based Chinese newspaper, the only property that the First Family owns is a town house in Chicago with an estimated value of about 1.6 million USD. I was happy to read that news report this morning and was surprised. If people who are not from wealthy or famous families can make it to the top and become presidents, we have every reason to believe that dreams do come true. I think the system is exactly the hope of this country and maybe this world.

It seems that the ultimate power lies in words and thoughts that transform people’s mindset, their actions, and their life either towards the wrong direction or the right
