Scott was encouraged to write the story of his sons encounter with angels while sharing the story at a local Christian mens retreat. He has brought his story to local churches and many organized groups with the hope of proclaiming the Gospel with his testimony. (Mark 16:15 NIV) Scott graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and has enjoyed a successful career in Hotel Management.       Have you ever heard somebody share their life story that stopped you dead in your tracks? The type of story that captivates you, then shakes you to the core? The type of story that forces you to reevaluate your priorities and reveals that your issues are not mountains but molehills compared to what other people are dealing with. That has only happened twice in my life. The first was when a mentor shared his story of losing three small kids. The second was the story you are about to read in the pages that follow. I think part of the impact comes from putting yourself in their shoes and imagining how you would feel, and handle that same situation. You think to yourself, "what if this was my child, my family, and me personally dealing with this life struggle". At the same time your heart breaks for their pain, and you can’t believe this really happened.

      When I heard Scott share the story of Gabe’s Angels in person, I was in a church basement, among an audience of 100 men. It felt like he was talking directly to me. I hung on to every word and didn’t expect it to go the way it did. It touched me so deeply that it was all I could think about for several days.

      Angels are For Real is one of those stories you will never forget. It will take you on a journey filled with hope, joy, pain and heartache. It will twist and turn and just when you think you have it figured out, everything changes. If you look closely, you will see how God works miracles and comforts us in the midst of our most difficult times.

      Experience has taught me that every adult you know is experiencing stress in at least one of the five main storms of life: Job, Money, Marriage, Health, or Family. At any given time, you may be dealing with a couple storms, and other times four of five storms. If you could peel back the onion and understand what people you know are really dealing with, you would be surprised and most likely grateful for your struggles compared to what others are facing. The silver lining in the storms of life is the wisdom forged through the pain.

      Many times the price of wisdom is pain. If you’re like me, you want wisdom without the pain. Sometimes life doesn’t work that way. As you read Scott’s story you will see the wisdom in his words and understand the inexhaustible love of a Father.

      Introduction

      Thousands of people around the globe have been touched by the life of my son, Gabriel William Stuart. Many of them I know; many of them I don’t know. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have encountered complete strangers who, after a quick few words, say Oh, you must be Gabe’s dad. His story has reached around the world, and has changed many lives. I am very proud of my beautiful boy who has given so much to all humanity.

      It took the miraculous encounters that Gabe experienced to bring me to my knees in belief. I want to praise our savior, Jesus Christ, who sent the comfort of angels to Gabriel for many months during his illness. It was the angels who held his hand during his journey with cancer. It was his angels that changed my life. It was the angels who gave us confidence in our eternal life. It was Gabriel’s angels who gave me a definite belief in the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

      It is my hope and prayer that this book will open your eyes to the reality of Heaven and help you discover a childlike faith that will lead you to eternal life in Heaven. If you have previously had doubts about the reality of the Bible, a sovereign God, Jesus Christ our savior, and divine messengers from Heaven, you can now "Stop doubting and believe."
