      Preface

      Medical profession is noble and I am blessed to be a part of it. It is one of those rarest professions that take you very close to other people. You see life in its many forms. In a very special way medical science has opened my eyes to infinite possibilities. Some divine plan is already working inside the bodies of us all. That includes not only humankind but whole of living matter including microorganisms. There are some simple clues regarding what would be that divine plan.

      As a doctor and more so as a surgeon, I regularly get to view inside of human body. I get to see thousands of such clues routinely. These signs are subtle but definitely present. I feel I have found one such simple yet profound link to the bigger plan. This book is all about that simple but hidden truth.

      A few years back when I was studying ‘anatomy’ for my medical training course, this thought crossed my mind for the first time. However I ignored it choosing to focus instead on more pressing matter of academics. I got busy in trying to know the things already known to science. The thought was buried deep inside. Occasionally on a dark and lonely day, it would raise its head. Nonetheless I was able to suppress it. Soon I became a surgeon, got married. Participating in the race of life, I had totally forgotten about the thought. Meanwhile I had already written a book titled ‘Rainbow’.

      ‘Rainbow’ was my first attempt at writing. It was published by iUniverse. By then I had settled in life. That is when this thought again cropped up. It refused to leave me. It used to make me restless. If I tried to dump it, it would agitate my mind. At times, it consumed me. It demanded my total unwavering attention. At more susceptible times when I was free, it would create lot of turbulence and shake me up. At one such weaker moment, I decided to capture it. This book is my sincere effort to pass on this turbulence to receptive minds.

      I am not a feminist. I don’t claim to have achieved a scientific milestone. I don’t deal with subject of life after death. And I don’t want to sound like a philosophical Guru.

      No doubt, this book would appeal to the open and impartial mind. Open your eyes to see what I have seen and you would be thrilled to grasp the small reality about us.
