About this ebook
The whole world is groaning under the pain infl icted by atrocities such as diseases, poverty, misery, wars, murders, famines, climatic catastrophes, moral decay, and the list goes on. All these have always taken place in the past, but the intensity and frequency with which these are unfolding, we find no parallel. What are the causes behind these problems and is there any hope and a way out for man?
Though man has made astronomical advances in science and technology, does he have answers and solutions to these problems? What does the future hold for mankind? Is this world coming to an end? For centuries, man has been grappling and seeking answers to these questions. This book deals with these questions.
The name Jesus has been the subject of much controversy. In His time, He was the subject of constant scrutiny and under the watchful eyes of the religious and government leaders, who tried very hard and failed miserably to find any opportunity where they could find fault in Him, His teachings and actions, and prove Him wrong in any way whatsoever. In our time, He is venerated, revered, and worshipped by some, while others swear and use His name in vain. Some consider Him a prophet, a teacher, a guru, one of the gods, etc., whereas others consider Him the Son of God, Messiah, King, and more. He has impacted the world in a positive way.
Who Is This Jesus Christ? reveals why Jesus Christ came to this Earth and for what purpose and what He had to say about all of these events!
John S. Benjamin
John has lived with his wife, Marilyn, in Edmonton, Alberta, since 1972. Together they have three children, Sarah, Sabrina, and Sean, and two grandchildren, Anisha and Rashaun. Having been born into a Christian family, John was raised in church and in a Christian atmosphere. He started learning the Bible at a very early age. He knew many Bible verses and won several prizes in Bible competitions. During his childhood and youth, he was considered to be a good person. But that was not enough. He knew he had to repent from his sins and accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior, but he said to himself that he still has a lot of time to do that. After John finished high school, he decided to get serious about getting closer to God. He was searching for peace within. He studied the Word of God and prayed, repented of his sins, and gave his life to Jesus Christ. He was subsequently baptized and now has the assurance that Jesus lives in his heart. The Word of God, the Holy Bible gives us this assurance: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, the heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together” (Romans 8:16–17). When John accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, he inherited a lot of His promises and blessings. He has attempted to write this book in an effort to introduce many to Jesus, sharing those promises and blessing with them. May God bless you richly.
