Introduction
Our life is ideally like a story that we write in a notebook. There is an introduction that then unfolds into a series of chapters, and finally has an ending. I believe that we write our own stories, no one writes it for us. We create our own destinies. We are the master of our own thoughts. We all have an ending to our lives, in pretty much the same way, and that is, death. But, more importantly, it is the journey that we take before we reach the end that matters the most. Did we have a happy life? Did we get to do the things we have always wanted to do? Did we finish the things we started? Did we have a fulfilling life? Have we served our purpose on this planet earth? Have we forgiven the mistakes of the people who hurt us previously?
We should value our lives more than anything else. I strongly believe that not only we have a purpose in this world we live in, but we also have a purpose for eternity. We may temporarily exist on a physical plane in this world, but our souls shall live on forever. And, hence, it is so important for us to heal and better ourselves at all measures. So that we can achieve the things we want to achieve and live a meaningful life the way we imagine it.
In this book, I want to share with you about my thoughts, feelings and experiences about finding and loving yourself, creating your own dreams and turning it into reality, the significance of forgiveness and moving on, and learning to focus on the things that matter most to you so that you can live a healthy, balanced and beautiful life filled with good fortune, prosperity, happiness, joy and abundance. There is no right time, other than now, to inspire yourself again. It is from reading a lot of books that inspires me the most to live my life doing the things that I love to do and becoming the person that I love. I stopped listening to other people, and instead I started following my own intuition and dreams. My focus on the present moment allowed me to enjoy my life and direct all my thoughts to my goals and aspirations.
Sharing, through this book, is one of my goals. I have always believed that I am meant to do something meaningful. And that is to give and to share with everyone out there who may be going through or at least have gone through similar experiences as me, so that you know that you are not alone. My hope for this book is to also serve you with some form of guidance from my real life experiences.
It is also my desire to reach out to the younger generations, so that they may feel inspired to build their own dreams and turn them into reality. I even want my children to read this book someday, and possibly their children too. This will be my gift to them. I want them to be exposed to the many philosophies being taught in this world that could help them in discovering themselves and what their life purpose is. I want to inspire my children to go for their dreams and do what they love to do, not for anyone else, but for themselves at least. This is so that they can acquire that inner peace and wisdom knowing that they are confident enough to make decisions in their own ways. I have included some points on how you can begin to inspire yourselves, the same way as how I inspired myself to move forward with my life so that I can enjoy my life better.
I am a wife and mother with two children. I also had the opportunity to graduate from university with a double major in accounting and finance, after which I worked in various companies including a bank for only a period of eight years. Being an educated woman, I knew I had to establish myself somewhere in my career, which meant that I had to succeed and constantly do well in my job. I was kind of competitive in that sense, not with anyone, but only with myself. Therefore, it was hard for me to imagine myself without a job, only to decide eventually that I had to resign altogether and become a housewife. This decision did not come to me very lightly. In fact, there were so many reasons in the end why I had to do it. I weighed all the pros and cons before making my final decision. And I eventually discovered that the pros of resigning from my job weighed more.
I faced a lot
