About this ebook

Of course a great pair of heels will make any women feel confident in herself. Standards in Stilletos is a collection of Jazmin's blog articles and encouraging quotes. The articles promote female empowerment, self-love, respect for ourselves as women, and never allowing yourself to be disrespected. The articles put things in to perspective for women everywhere on how they can build up their self-esteem and happiness. The articles also touch on relationships and how women should refrain from selling themselves a dream by lowering standards or creating standards that are too high. The book illistrates that relationships require hard work, determination, and respect on all levels. In order for women to be able to love, they must find the love for themselves.

Jazmin Frett

Jazmin has a Bachelors degree in Sociology and a Masters degree in Education with a specialization in Family and Community Services. About two years ago, she began to write and publish her monthly blogs onto her own personal website. She loves providing encouraging advice to other women and many find themselves inspired by her empowering words. She enjoys being able to uplift other women and believes that women should teach each other about self-respect, self-love, and building self-esteem. Jazmin believed that building self-esteem and self-respect begins at a young age. She hopes to be able to encourage young girls everywhere, building and creating a more motivated, loved, and self-respecting generation of young ladies and women. She believes that finding yourself through God, as well as learning to love yourself first, is the key to life.

"This life is what you make it. No matter what, you’re going

to mess up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good

part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up.

Girls will be your friends—they’ll act like it anyway. But just

remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with

you through everything—they’re your true best friends.

Don’t let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best

friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they’ll come and go

too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them—actually pretty

much all of them are going to break your heart, but you

can’t give up because if you give up, you’ll never find your

soul mate. You’ll never find that half who makes you whole

and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once,

    doesn’t mean you’re going to fail at everything. Keep trying;

hold on; and always, always, always believe in yourself,

because if you don’t, then who will, sweetie? So keep your

head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep

smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much

    to smile about."

Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.

Dedicating this book to all of the beautiful, inspiring, lovely ladies in my life. Most importantly my mother who bought me my very first pair of stilettos and taught me what it meant to be a true lady of confidence, charisma, and character. To my aunts, together you all have shown me how much strength a woman can carry. To my best friends whom I’ve cried with and shared the same life experiences, you lend me a shoulder and an ear and for that I will continue to do the same. To my Kingsbury Rd Church of Christ sisters who have motivated my walk as a young Christian lady, and last but not least… to the men who truly value a woman’s worth.

All thanks go to my awesome and amazing God for blessing me with the talent to write, encourage, and motivate others through my books, poetry, blogs, and quotes.

    With Everlasting Love,

    Jazmin

    Soul Mates

"I don’t know if I believe in there being a such thing as soul-mates. I think that falling in love can be a temporary feeling, however, actually loving someone is forever and always. I believe in understanding and faith and I emphasize on prayer."

What were my exact thoughts when this popped into my head? Well, I began to think about how I believed that there is someone out there
