About this ebook

This is a book about self-esteem. We all have it, but sometimes it can be injured in such a way that it will scar a person for life. When someone you totally love and trust takes part of that self-esteem away, especially at an early age, you will more than likely believe it to its full wordage. This is what happened to me. It took more than forty years for it to come to its full fruition. It took a miracle to work a healing on me. It is possible to stop the invisible destruction of a hurt that is so deep, if you will only believe.

My husband and I have celebrated forty years of marriage this year. We have two wonderful children, who are married and have two beautiful girls each. I love Jesus with all my heart, and I look for God’s blessings every day in my life. I am positive that there are two things that Jesus wants us to know: He loves us very much, and He has work for each of us to do. I encourage you to be about the ministry of the Lord. He is returning soon, and we need to reach as many souls as we can in the meantime, amen. The Holy Bible states that “whom HE calls HE qualifies.” If God has instructed you to do something, then it would be in your best interest to do it. There are many people in this world who, at some time or another, have had someone speak a word or words that have bound them emotionally for the rest of their lives. There is a way to overcome this and any other obstacle as long as we go about it the right way.

I first, and foremost, thank my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ: He is awesome in this woman’s life. There are no earthly words to express how I feel for Him. I believe with all of my heart, soul, strength, and mind that He is who He is and because Of Him, I live! Thank you so very much, Lord, for all that you have done, all that you are doing, and all that is about to come!

I love you, Bill: You are my rock. We have navigated this life for well 40 years now and it is not over yet! I do hope that the next 40 do not go as fast as the first 40 - Thank you, dear heart, for loving me.

I love my children, Aaron and Shannon - Amy and Jeremy: You all have been such a dear blessing to me. Jesus gave you all to me and I have thanked Him countless times. Thank you all for your wonderful love and support. I am so very blessed because of you. Keep serving Jesus with all of your hearts!

I dedicate this book to my lovely grand girls: I love you all so very much - Hailey, Mollie, Hannah, and Madelyn. You have given me so much love and inspiration. I know that our Lord Jesus gave all of you to Papooh and me (Meme) for such a time as this. Thank you for loving Jesus, baby girls, and keep dancing to HIS music - HE will keep you forever.

To all of my family and friends - too numerous to mention you all - but you know who you are. Thank you so much for being my friend and my prayer partner. Hugs to you all. Continue taking the love of Jesus to everyone you meet! A special thanks to Darlene Toomey, Becky Hall, and Jan Piper.

To - Sherry Ashby, Diana McRoy, and Linda Willoughby for loving the same Lord and Savior that I do. Thanks for all of the years and the many miles we have traveled together. Thanks for all of the wonderful times that we have had - some spent with tears; but most with laughter - and for the love that you have given to me, wow - it has been great thus far. I love you.

And a special thanks to Marilyn Webster, Jeff and Brittney @ WestBow Publishing, Martha Harting, and artist - James Nesbit for assisting me in getting this book its cover as directed by our Lord, Jesus Christ.

    Foreword

I t is amazing to me how one, when once older, can look back through their past life’s experiences and by piecing memories together can actually see the Hand of God in it all. What is more amazing is how that when we spend a deeper, more intimate time with our Lord, one can see that He gave us exactly what we need exactly when we needed it! Amen.

The following is a story of a young girl, who is now 57 years old and the amazing quilting that she has had in her life - and that girl is me!

From experience I have found that what can seem to be a very small facture in one’s self esteem can, over time, cause a great deal of damage if it is not confronted and dealt with. However, you cannot just deal with it; you must face it head on and give it all over to Jesus. We all are incredibly made by HIS hand, as HE knows the very dust that we have been made from and just how many hairs we have on our head at any given time.

    Psalms 103:14

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

    Psalms 139:14

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

    Matthew 10:30

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

However, even greater is the knowledge that He loves us so much:

1 John 4:16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Jeremiah 31:3: The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.

Ephesians 5:2: And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and
