The story of Jock and Jean was told to Marie as a child from her fathers imagination. He would tell this story each year around the week before Christmas, and it brought great excitement to Marie, her brother, and her sister. As a child, Marie felt the emotions so strongly such as hiding under the covers in anticipation of Santa coming or imagining the excitement of being on a Christmas adventure. The story also captures a sense of family life in most homes at this time of year. This should strike a chord with adults, children, parents, and grandparents alike, echoing great memories from the past and increasing the spirit of Christmases yet to come.
This book should be shared with as many adults and children as possible, in families everywhere, to keep and cherish as a legacy of love, wonder, and excitement.
