About this ebook

These poems have been my saviour for many years now, and
written with passion and deep meaning they have covered
many diffi cult events in my life including things such as selfharm
and depression, love and hate, and the most painful of
all my miscarriage.
I hope that if you are reading this as a way of understanding
these then it helps you, and if your reading this because you
have had these issues or can relate to my poems then I hope
you feel inspired and understand that you dont have to deal
with these things single-handedly.

Outside Scars to Match the Smiles
Author

Grace Timms

This is a book of some poems that I began writing when I was 15. They refl ect my emotions and thoughts and have acted as a self-help tool to prevent situations such as further self harm. My doctor recommended reading poems many years ago as each reader may have a different insight depending upon their mood and perception of the writing. If this book helps even one person not to feel alone or isolated then it has served its purpose. Many people have helped me when depressed and tried to stop things escalating further and some have stuck by me to this day, however I do truly believe that at times writing poems has become my deliverance.
