When nine-year-old Felix installs the “Zombies Alive” add-on to his favourite computer game, he finds out that zombies are messy and smelly and dirty and loud. And they eat your homework. But what’s worse than a room full of smelly zombies? An evil sorcerer who’s mutating the zombies and destroying the house, that’s what! Felix and his best friend Ziggy need a plan to undo the Zombies Alive add-on and send those zombies back to the digital world. Hi, I'm Felix and I love computer games.
I also love zombies.
At least, I love zombies when they stay in their computer games.
I don’t love them so much in real life. They’re messy and smelly and dirty and loud. And they eat your homework.
But you know what’s worse than zombies?
Sorcerers. I mean it, they’re the worst.
Want to know how I know?

Last Friday, I couldn’t wait to get home from school because I was so super excited. The makers of my favourite game, GemQuest 2, had released a new update. I’d been waiting for weeks to try it out as there would be new tools, new monsters and new add-ons. I raced home, ate a snack and had reached my bedroom door when my Mum reminded me that I had to do my homework first.
Noooooo!
Homework is such a drag but I had a book report due the next day. No game is worth getting into trouble with old Mrs Whipple for. She’s scarier than any zombie.
I went to my room, tiptoed over the piles of clothes and school books and opened my laptop. An hour later, I had finished my book report and it was sitting on my desk, printed and stapled.
Time to play!
I sat down at my laptop and booted up the game. It felt like an eternity for the game to update but finally it did and I clicked on the list of new add-ons to
