About this ebook
International judge Robert Cole's expert perspective on some of the important elements of judging the Collie. You will "enter" a show ring and decide for yourself which is the best dog. After you have made your selection you will be walked through the process of judging step-by-step. It is an opportunity to test your knowledge and get a feel for some of the key points involved in judging this breed. The excellent graphics will help clarify what may appear to be a complex process. This is NOT a complete analysis of the Standard or of the judging points.

Publisher’s Note
Dogwise Publishing is pleased to present to the dog fancier the You Be The Judge series. You Be The Judge is not intended to be a complete analysis of the standard or judging points of the Collie. Rather it is the author’s expert perspective on some of the important elements of judging the Collie. We hope that this series benefits the exhibitor, breeder and judge by drawing attention to key points of the Collie’s conformation.

A CHALLENGE
Do you have an eye for a dog?
According to old timers, if you have this eye
you could be placed in a ring with a large class of a breed you had never seen before and not only come up with the best four dogs in order of merit but also be able to declare in detail how each of the others depart from basic canine balance. An eye
