    About this series

    The AC/E Digital Culture Annual Report aims to become an annual document of reference that analyses the evolution of digital trends in the cultural sector (museums, libraries, publishing companies, booksellers, theatre companies, film production, music companies, etc.)

    It is designed to be a manual for constant reference and consultation for cultural sector professionals wishing to discover the advantages & benefits derived from the use of new technologies.

    The first report, coordinated by Javier Celaya of Dosdoce.com, analyses the impact of the Internet in the overall cultural sector, as well as it provides a specific focus on the use of new technologies in the performing arts (production, promotion, staging, distribution, etc.). Each year, the report will focus on a specific area of the cultural sector.

    The aim of the study is to exchange knowledge by identifying cases of success and good practices at both the national and international levels in order to enhance performing arts professionals' awareness of the possibilities new technologies can offer their entities and also of the digital trends they will need to bear in mind in the coming years. In this regard, the report is much more than just an initial compilation of the statistical data needed to establish the point of departure and current use of different types of technology.

    This study involves preliminary research and is open to the participation of any cultural entity wishing to contribute its experience and present cases of good practice and success in the use of different types of technology applied to the performing arts.

      El Anuario AC/E tiene objetivo convertirse en un documento anual de referencia que analice la evolución de las tendencias digitales en el mundo de la cultura y cada año pondrá el foco en un sector determinado. El anuario está estructurado en dos partes principales: Un estudio de casos de buenas prácticas, nacionales e internacionales, que detecte y exponga el impacto que están teniendo las nuevas tecnologías sobre un un sector cultural específico -para esta primera edición las artes escénicas-, y que haga hincapié en ejemplos de casos de éxito. Una segunda parte de análisis de las tendencias digitales en el mundo de la cultura a través de nueve ensayos transversales que toquen todos los sectores culturales y realizados por especialistas en la materia. El Anuario cuenta con nueve artículos de opinión que analizan las principales tendencias tecnológicas con un enfoque muy transversal que se puede aplicar en cualquier tipo de entidad cultural. Las tendencias tecnológicas transversales que se han analizado este año van desde el impacto de los nuevos conceptos de "gamificación", "narrativas transmedia" y "crowdfunding" en el sector cultural hasta temas de máxima actualidad como la cultura en la nube, cómo vender cultura por Internet o el papel de las redes sociales en la promoción de la cultura, entre otros. En la segunda parte, hemos analizado la incorporación de las nuevas tecnologías en múltiples ámbitos de las artes escénicas: desde la producción y la promoción hasta la distribución, pasando por la creación o la escenificación, entre otras áreas. Para ello, hemos identificado y estudiado casos de éxito y buenas prácticas, a nivel nacional e internacional, con el fin de ayudar a los profesionales de las artes escénicas a conocer las posibilidades que ofrecen las nuevas tecnologías para sus entidades, así como las tendencias digitales que deberán tener en cuenta en los próximos años.
