We live in a world that is constantly changing, and we seem to be in a continuous rush. We rush to work, we rush back home, we rush when seeing our friends, we rush cooking. We are in a hurry at any moment of the day, and time seems to have compressed in the last few years. As a result we have bad eating habits, sleeping problems and stress, and we barely find ways to cope.
However, if you simply take a moment and look at things from the outside, you realize that they aren’t that bad — it’s all about perception and time management. We can fit it all in our schedule if we manage our time right and use little shortcuts — particularly in meal planning and preparation.
This cookbook offers you shortcuts for your morning meals, your main dishes, side dishes and desserts. They are all fail-proof recipes, delicious and easy to make, with ingredients that can easily be found in most supermarkets, if you don’t have them in your pantry already.
All you have to do is find 10 spare minutes to create a dish that is nutritious and healthy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavors.

Breakfast
A rich and nutritious morning meal will give you enough energy to power through your morning. And it will also keep you away from unwanted snacks, thus helping you lose or maintain weight. With the following recipes, you have no excuse to skip breakfast.
Green Onion and Leek Omelet

Servings: 2-4
Ingredients:
6 eggs
1 leek, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
2 oz. feta cheese, crumbled
Salt, pepper to taste
3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
Beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Then stir in the leeks, green onions and feta cheese.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet and pour in the egg mixture.
Cook for a few minutes, flipping it over. Serve warm.
Multigrain Cereal
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons quick cooking barley
4 tablespoons bulgur
4 tablespoons rolled oats
1 ½ cups almond milk
2 tablespoons raisins
1 pinch ground ginger
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 banana, sliced
½ cup strawberries, sliced
Directions:
Combine the barley, bulgur, oats, almond milk, raisins, ginger and brown sugar in a saucepan.
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, spoon into serving bowls, and top with banana and strawberry slices before serving.
Sausage Pepper Scramble
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 chicken sausages, sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 red bell pepper, cored and diced
4 eggs, beaten
¼ cup grated Cheddar cheese
