Preface
It is my greatest pleasure in bringing forth this book Oh Dear Happiness! The lost treasure of contentment
to my beloved readers. This book is dedicated to all my friends and followers spread across continents, speaking different languages, professing different religions and living different lives. I have a strong feeling that it will become a companion for those searching the real purpose of life. I hope it will change your faith and attitude towards life and become an ode to happiness but only if you believe in it and are willing to change. It is truly said Change is never easy. We fight to hold on, we fight to let go
. So dear readers buckle up for a contemporary form of enlightenment in your lives.
I am a doctor by profession and have been brought up among hardships. I am voice of the common man. I went through very tough times during my professional studies. Being a science student, I would always ponder the laws of our society. It was then that I realised the flaws in our upbringing. Each of us makes this society. To see a change, we must be a change. I would consider my work as success if it could change even one mind. I believe goodness is contagious. That one single mind will change life of thousands.
I am extremely thankful to my colleagues, my dear brother Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh and parents who helped and guided me through my dark phases of life and became my mentor. I will like to innumerate names of few of the my colleagues whose contribution in writing this book and in my life will remain always valuable: Vipul Prakash, Saurabh Bhatia, Snehal Agarwal, Mrityunjay, Sanjay Yadav, Mukesh, Sudhir Yadav, Zeba, Pankhuri, Praveen Kumar, Himabindu, Guna, Suman Patra, Maninder, Neha, Alok, Deepika, Setu, Tanvi, Pranav, Narayanan, Karthik, Gridharan, Ananya, Sheikh Naveed, Pawan, Prashant, Prabhat, Sundeep, Snehil, Saroj, Sonia, Navneet, Vinod Gaur, Razik and Prakash Khute. The list is still incomplete.
I hope that everyone will enjoy reading this book. Thank you.

His Pursuit to Happiness
He had perceived pain of poverty ever since the day he was born. He had one close but cursed friend called poverty. With time, many friends came and went by, but this friend never left him. Ramesh was born in a poor family. Today, he was very happy. He had been called for admission in ninth standard of a government school and his father had allowed him for further studies. The school was located far off from the village, at a distance of six miles. The only way to that school was a narrow serpentine and dusty road studded with mud and pebbles, running parallel to a filthy open canal filled with the rotten smell of putrefaction. Ramesh walked gracefully and of course barefoot on the rugged road to the school. His eyes
