    Ten years ago, the Calphesians, a warrior race from far beyond our stars, invaded Earth with the intention to kill everyone they found and take the planet's resources for themselves. In order to prevent the destruction of the human race, a treaty was set, allowing the Calphesians to remain on Earth and use its resources as long as they didn't kill anyone or hurt the people. In addition, they would be able to pick and choose from a selection of human women to marry and have children with, in order to keep their kind from dying out. 

    Every five years, three women are randomly selected and married off to the strongest warriors of the Calphesians, and this year Roxanne has been chosen. She's angry and bitter about having her life decided for her, and nothing changes when she meets Aedian, her husband to be. He's boorish and crude, and treats her like she's insignificant most of the time, and all they do is fight. 

    But when another race of aliens seeks to destroy the Earth and everyone on it, everyone will have to band together to fight them off, and both Aedian and Roxanne will realize there's more to each other than they'd thought.

      The Nine are like boogey men on planets other than Earth, and just the name of this fearsome race of aliens strikes fear and anger into the hearts of other races. Nine creatures from a race so old their true name has been forgotten, they are assassins and killers, striking against their enemies like darkness in the night, leaving no hope of defeating them. The Samis Das are a warrior race, known for their skill in battle, but even they cannot stand up to the might of the Nine, and Sabin, one of their best, is one of the few left when they come for his people. He learns that the Nine have set their sights on Earth next, and he manages to sneak onto their ship and goes to Earth with them, determined not to let what happened to his people happen to the humans, who live in blissful ignorance of the dangers of space and the creatures that inhabit it.  Sabin manages to escape and sets out, determined to warn someone. People think he’s crazy, bleeding and shouting in the streets as he is, but his words are heard by Heather, a pretty young nurse who takes pity on him and brings him home to patch him up. Something grows between them as they spend time together, but Sabin can’t truly forget about what he came to Earth to do and tries to tell Heather that things aren’t safe. She believes that he believes what he’s saying, but she’s not sure what to believe herself. That is until people mysteriously start disappearing, killing each other, and getting sick all over the world, just as Sabin said they would. Sabin, determined to keep Heather safe, promises to protect her and to try to stop them, but what can one warrior do against the might of the Nine?

      Lorraine Franklin has always been something of an eccentric person. She works in an antique store and was raised by a man who believed in everything from vampires to alien wizards, so she has a healthy sense of wonder about the world and enjoys being who she is, even if it means that she's lonely and doesn't have anyone to share her life with.  But when a group of strangers start hanging out around her store, asking about an item that she's never heard of before, and doesn't even think she has, she's going to realize that some of her father's fantasy stories were indeed very real. The strangers are warrior guards from another planet, and the item they're looking for belonged to their late king, given to the previous owner of the shop, her father, for safekeeping. The only problem is, Lorraine has no idea where the item ended up, and her father's dead.  When she finds out that the item could literally mean life or death for the late king's followers, under the rule of a new, tyrannical king, she'll throw herself headlong into helping, and maybe find love along the way.  This A Sci-Fi Alien Warrior Paranormal Romance has action, adventure and romance around every turn.
