- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5These stories are really enjoyable. some stories are sad, and other atories are moving and happy ending. I like all stories ,but especially "The Happy Pirnce" and "The Star Child" are really good. The Happy Prince is a statue which is made of gold and jewels. When he lived, he thought everyone is happy, but in fact, some people were poor and unhappy. After becoming a statue, he knew that. So he gave his gold and jewels to these people. he is areally kind man, I think. The Star Child is also very very good story. Child was found by woodcutters when he was a baby. he was raisedby one of woodcutter's house. At first, he was very selfish. But by experiencing many events, finally he become a kind man and king. It's really interesting. This book tell me some good lessons.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book has seven stories about happiness and sadness. All of them are wonderful. They make you feel warm.Especially,I like "The Happy Prince".The happy prince is made of gold and jewels. He thinks people are all happy, but after,he know it is wrong. So he ask a bird to bring his gold and jewels to the poor.I was moved by his kindness.I think Oscar Wilde has talent of writing.I like this book very much.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book has some short stories. It is easy to understand. I like the story of fisherman and mermaid.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book has some famous fairlytales. All of stories were beautiful, sad, and kind. This writer had great talent of poetry.I like "the nightingale and the rose" very much. The nightingale liked to sing songs and love, so she wanted to help a student's love. The student had to give a red rose but it was not found. And the nightingale made a red rose with her red blood. This story doesn't have wastes. It has the extremity of beauty because it has sorrow.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The stories of this book is made for the auther's childlen. So, these are fairy stories, but amusing for me.My favorite story was "The fisherman and his soul".He throw away his soul to live with the marmaid who he fall in love. But, his soul told him to do bad things. This story was sad, but I like this story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5My friend recommend me to read this book. The friend 's favorite story is "the nightingale and the rose" .And I also like this story. The bird nightingale already knew love is wonderful. So she tried to help the student's love. This story tells me consideration and pitiless reality. This story is very short. But this story attracts me strongly.Incidentally I like sorrowful musics and stories.

THE YOUNG KING
TO
MARGARET LADY BROOKE
[THE RANEE OF SARAWAK]
It was the night before the day fixed for his coronation, and the young King was sitting alone in his beautiful chamber. His courtiers had all taken their leave of him, bowing their heads to the ground, according to the ceremonious usage of the day, and had retired to the Great Hall of the Palace, to receive a few last lessons from the Professor of Etiquette; there being some of them who had still quite natural manners, which in a courtier is, I need hardly say, a very grave offence.
The lad—for he was only a lad, being but sixteen years of age—was not sorry at their departure, and had flung himself back with a deep sigh of relief on the soft cushions of his embroidered couch, lying there, wild-eyed and open-mouthed, like a brown woodland Faun, or some young animal of the forest newly snared by the hunters.
And, indeed, it was the hunters who had found him, coming upon him almost by chance as, bare-limbed and pipe in hand, he was following the flock of the poor goatherd who had brought him up, and whose son he had always fancied himself to be. The
