Selbryth Lannigan

I've been writing fiction since the mid 1980s, both short and long works, and turned to erotic fiction at around the same time. I have published on the Literotica site under the singular name Selbryth and have also sold hundreds of short 'anonymous' pieces to the pulp erotic publications of the time: Letters Magazine and Hustler's Busty Beauties being just two. Focusing on sexuality beyond what some would consider the 'norm', my characters include t-girls (trannies, kathoey, newhalf, shemales, ladyboys) cross-dressers, sissified and transformed males, gays and lesbians, who engage in a variety of fetishes, kinks and sexy hijinks.Though explicitly described, the stories themselves offer an inner dialog which most times borders on the romantic. There is no death, very little violence and hopefully the reader is left feeling good.

    Good Morning

    Good Morning

I saw Courtney the first time walking down the hall in the Earth Sciences building on campus where I'd just started a new office assistant job. She had a white lab coat on, had her hair back in a bun and wore comfortable looking flats. I passed her by but she was staring straight ahead and didn't notice me. And that was okay I guess; not a problem. She didn't look friendly. She looked cross, or preoccupied or something--most likely something to do with her work--walking with her arms crossed and a slight frown on her face.

She was really pretty though. That's the main thing I remember.

The next day, and the days following, I'd be heading to work and see her and it was always the same thing: stern expression, or no expression, and though I almost said 'good-morning' one morning I didn't. I figured she might just snub me or something. And I didn't feel like getting snubbed on top of everything else.

Days went by. So did weeks. I was getting used to my new job as a secretarial assistant in the research departments that had hired me, but it got to be almost a morning ritual to see Courtney pass by without a blink or a nod or even acknowledgement that I even existed. I still couldn't get used to that.

I figured her to be about 25 years old or something, same as me, and seeing her looking the way she did made me feel better about myself in a weird way. I mean, my life could be worse: I could, for instance, find myself feeling the way she looked.

The only way I learned her name was when I happened to pass by one morning as she stood talking to one of her coworkers. They both had on white lab coats, and I heard the other girl say something like Well, Courtney, if you think that's best. I hope you'll stay though. We really work well together....

I just swooshed on by pretending I hadn't heard a thing, not that it meant anything to me. When I turned to go up the stairs, I glanced over and saw Courtney still standing there, by herself now, thinking things over. She still showed no emotion or expression whatsoever, and for a moment she simply nodded to herself as if she'd made some decision, turned, and walked off toward the exit of the building like she normally did.

This time though, since I was early, I decided to see where she went every morning. I assumed it was just to go outside for a walk, to get some fresh air and take a break from whatever work she was doing. I crept back to the intersection of the halls, peeked around and saw her way down by the entrance. I hurried down the hall, following her, then saw her striking out across campus towards the main garden area. I stopped at the doorway and watched as she found a seat under a huge, ancient oak and lit up a cigarette. It was nothing special, just her sitting there taking a break, so I turned and headed up to work.

Weeks and months went by the same way. Her expression never changed. I just wondered what was bothering her so much. One or two days--a week tops--maybe, but the same stern, unhappy expression for this long? And it was too bad too, because like I said, she was a pretty girl; pretty face--even with her black horn-rimmed glasses--5'6" maybe. And from what
