About this ebook

Team of Vipers: My 500 Extraordinary Days in the Trump White House by Cliff Sims: Conversation Starters

After campaigning for Trump, Cliff Sims joined the White House because he liked the opportunity of interacting "with the most powerful person in the planet." The White House was "absolutely out of control" but Sims did not always excoriate the president. The book describes the relationship between Trump and the first lady Melania Trump as defying public perception. Mrs. Trump is shown being protective of her husband. Most of the book discusses the feuds and chaotic relations between staff members. Being in the White House feels like being in the "Game of Thrones, but with the characters from Veep."
Team of Vipers is an instant New York Times bestseller.

EAM OF VIPERS: MY 500 EXTRAORDINARY DAYS IN THE TRUMP WHITE House is a memoir written by Cliff Sims, a former White House aide.

Sims joined Donald Trump's campaign team and was with him on the night Trump got elected to the presidency.  He was appointed Director of White House Message Strategy and Special Assistant to the President. He becomes part of the President's inner circle taking on various roles including that of an advisor, errand boy, punching bag, a confidante, and a friend. His access to the President enabled him to listen to private meetings with government figures, world leaders, and the rest of Trump's advisors. He witnessed Trump's leadership style as he tackled his office's challenges. He saw how Trump viewed the world from his niche. Sims witnessed infighting as well as emotional and dramatic encounters among Trump's people. He tells how he participated in some of Trump's biggest accomplishments as well as getting the blame in the President's failures. He shares his insights about the people he worked with including Jared Kushner, Steve Bannon, John Kelly, and Kellyanne Conway. He reveals how he helped Trump create a list of enemies and a list of loyal and distrusted persons. He noted all of his observations and after 500 days in office, he quit. This book is his account of his first-hand view of the intrigue, backstabbing, victories and the moral compromises involved in his White House
