About this ebook

She came to the beach to write… But she’s getting distracted by the surfer next door.

Jenna, a single mom and successful author, has five weeks to deliver her next young adult novel to the publisher. This year’s summer getaway with her kids will be a working vacation.

The only problem? Lucas, the devil-may-care surfer in the beach rental next to hers. He cranks up his music at night, hosts loud volleyball matches, and allows his dog to run around at will.

Jenna often blames him for her writer’s block. But before long, she begins to see a new side of her neighbor at the shore. Maybe opposites do attract…but will that attraction fade like a sunset once summer is gone?

This funny, emotional romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Shrimp Scampi.

Love at the Beach is a cute, entertaining summer “beach” read. Jenna is a single mother with two kids headed to the beach for the summer. She’s a writer of young adult stories who has had her first hit. Now she has 5 weeks to finish the sequel that she hasn’t started. She’s hoping the kids will be entertained by the beach & their friends so she can get inspired & knock the story out. She didn’t plan on the outgoing inhabitant of the opposite side of the duplex, his parties & loud music. He is so annoying! Why can’t she get him off her mind?Lucas rented out one side of his duplex for the summer. He didn’t expect his neighbor to be so uptight & nice looking. She didn’t think he’d fall for the entire family. His dog was as big a draw to the kids as he was. Can he find a way to change Jenna’s impression of him? This was definitely a case of opposites attract. Jenna is uptight & anxious. Lucas is laid back & takes it as it comes. It isn’t a case of love at first sight but with every interaction you see the chemistry grow. The kids & the dog add their own little side stories which add to the sweetness of the story. This really is a fun entertaining summer read.

Love at the Shore by Teri WilsonA Hallmark movie made into a book. Contemporary romance. Jenna and her children rent a cottage on the beach for the summer. Jenna plans to work on a novel that’s due by the end of the summer. Unfortunately the other half of the rented unit has a loud music playing tenant with a dog that’s running everywhere. How’s she supposed to get any work done with all that noise and distraction?Sweet and charming. Exactly as expected from a Hallmark book. Jenna was distracted by the good looking neighbor but still had to find time to write. Lucas learned to appreciate her children and Jenna’s volleyball skills made him realize he wanted to know more about any other skills she may have. The usual formula with a disappointment or misunderstanding near the end and then the ultimate being in love close. Delightful.
