      Ah, colonel, I assume you have read your daily briefing and have questions! Naumov began. Elizabeth was in her officer, seeing him on a viewscreen.

      One big one followed by many follow up questions, Elizabeth answered flatly. Why send me a briefing about a routine Chinese military exercise instead of anything from the drives I recovered for you?

      Some of the drives were trashed! We’re recovering what we can but do you know how superstitious drive recovery people are? I think they perform sacred rituals every day before they begin their work! I told them to start working right away but they are strange and insist they must purify their bodies! Naumov explained.

      In other words the drive recovery people aren’t working as fast as we would like, Elizabeth clarified. We could really benefit from some answers before Sloh gets a reply.

      I am glad you understand me! Naumov said cheerfully. We’re working on it, but what did I tell you about lethal force? I can’t ask corpses questions! Then a pause, Wait, maybe my drive people can, they can talk to dead drives maybe they talk to dead people too!

      Elizabeth sighed, I do not have to justify lethal force to you. I was not willing to risk the lives of my soldiers for this intel. You should be glad your intel people came back just fine instead of complaining I didn’t spare the opfor.

      Fine! Fine! Naumov said. Now that I’m done explaining to you the drives will take more time, I’ll answer the other part of your question.
