About this ebook
Do you want to get rid of mental fog, eliminate toxins and fill your body with energy?
If yes, then keep reading...
The food we eat affects our lives much more than we think. Extra weight is just the beginning; toxins that are poisoning our bodies affect every area of our lives. Low productivity, confusion, brain fog, and feeling down are common signs of a bad diet. If you wake up tired after 8 hours of sleep, feeling sluggish and desperate to go back to sleep – your body needs help.
Unfortunately, the food of today is focused more on the caloric value than nutritional value. Pesticides are used on fruits, chemical fertilizers are used on vegetables, and animals are fed concentrated food before being slaughtered. All of these factors influence the quality of our food and may lead to several diseases, especially related to high blood sugar levels.
Can we reverse all of these and put a stop to it?
Is medication a solution?
Medication is not designed to cure, but instead, it was intended to make the disease a bit more pleasant by masking the symptoms.
Finding organic food in urban areas is quite a difficult task, but even if you can’t do it, there is a way. Autophagy is the process of recycling damaged parts of proteins and organelles at a cellular level. It has plenty of benefits for the human body, especially in terms of health.

Introduction
Have you ever wondered why humans today are affected by so many diseases? Have you wondered about the causes of these diseases? Today, the majority of diseases are caused by the food we eat, and this is mostly because of the high-carb intake we are exposed to.
Centuries ago, humans were not getting sick because of the food they were consuming; they were getting sick due to various other causes, but the low quality of food was not amongst those causes. If the medicine was not evolved back then, at least they had proper food, rich in nutritional value. Nowadays, we’re experiencing the exact opposite of that situation. The medicine is more evolved than ever, but the food we are consuming has very low quality and little to nothing nutritional value. What happened in the meantime? Something called the Industrial Revolution, which permitted food processing at a huge scale. For the sake of profit, the food has lower quality and also lower price than organic food, and guess what? It even causes addiction. It somehow makes you buy the same food, over and over again because you need more of it to cover your basic macronutrients needs.
Unfortunately, the food of today is focused more on caloric value than nutritional value, and the worst part is that we are too exposed to it. Finding organic food in urban areas is quite a difficult task, as pesticides are used on fruits, chemical fertilizers are used on vegetables and other legumes, and animals are being fed concentrated food before being slaughtered. This is how a chicken grows so fast, but this affects also other animals. All of these factors influence the quality of our food and may lead to several diseases, especially related to high blood sugar levels. Diabetes was not a very common disease a few centuries ago, but now it’s amongst the most spread diseases worldwide. Heart, kidney, or liver diseases are very common, but also neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease are becoming more and more popular.
How we can reverse all of these and put a stop to it? Is medication a solution? Medication is not designed to cure, but instead, it was designed to make the disease a bit more pleasant by masking the symptoms. In a positive scenario, it can only stimulate the body to overcome the disease. The body heals itself, so why use a medicine, especially when it comes to common conditions and diseases like high blood sugar and insulin, heart, kidney, and liver diseases.
Autophagy is the answer to all these problems, and in this book, you can learn how you can activate it and what benefits it has. In this book, you will discover different methods on how to induce or activate autophagy. Although some of them may sound discouraging, you can find in here important tips on how to practice these methods, how to maximize their effects and of course, the benefits of each method. You can discover important information about Intermittent Fasting, Ketosis, HIIT, and Protein Fast. The cure for all of the diseases mentioned above is within your grasp, and the best part is that you don’t have to pay serious cash for medicine. After reading this book, you will think again before buying medicine for such diseases and therefore save a lot of money. Autophagy is not holistic or voodoo
medicine, it is something real, something that won the Nobel prize a few years ago, so it’s a practice that you should take it very seriously. There are plenty of reasons why you should consider getting your body into autophagy mode, and you can find all of them if you read the chapters of this book. There is only one more thing left to say. Enjoy your reading!
Part One - Autophagy
History of Autophagy
The term Autophagy
can trace its origins in the Greek words phagy
(which happens to mean eat) and auto
(which obviously means self). However, this doesn’t mean that it was studied in Ancient Greece. Putting them together, we can conclude that autophagy is basically self-eating, but a more detailed definition can be seen in the sub-chapter below. The first studies related to this field were done in the late 1950s, but only after the 1990s, the progress was more significant. This concept is a conserved cellular pathway that controls protein and organelle degradation, and has essential roles in survival, development, and homeostasis. Autophagy is also integral to human health and is involved in physiology, development, lifespan, and a wide range of diseases, including cancer, neurodegeneration, and microbial infection.
This concept was born when a few scientists studied the membrane-bound compartments in the kidneys of small lab animals like mice. Clark and Novikoff first noticed mitochondria from mouse kidneys, when they studied the membrane-bound compartments, which also include lysosomal enzymes. Porter and Ashford discovered later endoplasmic reticulum and semi-digested mitochondria in the membrane-bound vesicles of rat’s hepatocytes which were exposed to glucagon, but Essner and Novikoff discovered lysosomal hydrolases in the same bodies. At the Ciba Foundation symposium on lysosomes in 1963, a scientist called de Duve founded the discipline in which he emphasized the autophagy
concept as describing the existence of a single or double-membrane vesicle with parts of organelles and cytoplasm in a different state of disintegration. He named autophagosomes
the sequestering vesicles and claim that they occur in normal cells and are related
