About this ebook

Alexander was getting ready to head to his favorite coffee shop, Espresso. He was getting ready at the
house, looking in the bathroom mirror, a towel wrapped around his waist and his clean clothes folded beside
the sink. Alexander had black hair that he liked to style with gel. Running a comb through his hair after
applying the gel, he smiled at himself in the mirror, his dark brown eyes looking back at him.
Alexander had a lot of friends who were girls, and for the longest time his parents thought he would settle down with one of them. That was until last year when he’d announced at Christmas dinner that he was gay. He remembered the look on his
mother's face, a look of shock and sadness, knowing that she wasn't going to have any grandchildren from
her only child. His father had stood up and left the room without saying a word. It had taken his father a long
time to talk to him again after the announcement. His mother had adjusted well after a week’s time.

Under the Prickly Christmas Tree - Sebastian Cox

Alexander was getting ready to head to his favorite coffee shop, Espresso. He was getting ready at the house, looking in the bathroom mirror, a towel wrapped around his waist and his clean clothes folded beside the sink. Alexander had black hair that he liked to style with gel. Running a comb through his hair after applying the gel, he smiled at himself in the mirror, his dark brown eyes looking back at him.

Alexander had a lot of friends who were girls, and for the longest time his parents thought he would settle down with one of them. That was until last year when he’d announced at Christmas dinner that he was gay. He remembered the look on his mother's face, a look of shock and sadness, knowing that she wasn't going to have any grandchildren from her only child. His father had stood up and left the room without saying a word. It had taken his father a long time to talk to him again after the announcement. His mother had adjusted well after a week’s time.

Alexander had realized he was gay when he was in college. He’d dated a girl for several months and, even when she’d kiss him, it hadn’t lit a spark. His heart hadn’t raced and he’d never gotten all the loving emotions that a man should have for a woman when they were together. His friends were glad that he didn't hit on them. The girls could go on to him about men and about how they looked without him trying to get into their pants.

A lot of guys would snicker and laugh behind his back until they realized that he was hanging out with some gorgeous girls who wouldn't give them the time of day. Alexander had guy friends too, and he thought they were good-looking but he never hit on them. If they were interested in him, he figured they would make the first move.

Alexander had a medical degree, and he worked as a pediatrician, a children’s doctor. Looking at his watch, he frowned at the time. Nine in the morning and he had planned on being at Espresso at eight. He knew how busy it got after ten, and it would still take him another half hour to finish getting ready.

He grabbed a disposal razor and began shaving his face until it was smooth, applying the shaving cream in a thick layer so that he could get all the stubble. After he was done, he took a white hand towel and wiped the rest of the shaving cream off his face and smiled at himself again.

You look handsome, Alexander told his reflection as he took the towel off from around his waist and put on his boxers.

Alexander was well built, working out at the gym as much as he could when he could find the time. A lot of his female friends wished he wasn't gay, and he would laugh at them when they made a comment about how good-looking he was. When he went to gay nightclubs he got a lot of looks from the men there, and some would often buy him a drink, though it didn't go any further than hitting the dance floor and having a few laughs. He wished that someday he would find someone who would make him look twice. Alexander hadn't been in a serious relationship with a man for a long time. At the end of college, he’d had a serious relationship with a man named Carl, but once
