On The Basis Of Morality (Nice To Meet You)

About this ebook
Nice to meet you. A worldly used kind of expression. But not always said sincerely. How many times have you really come across someone (a friend of friends maybe) and said, ‘nice to meet you,’ without actually meaning it. I mean, I honestly don’t always mean it myself. You might say it while smiling, I do that all the time. Most of us just say it with the intention of being polite, because it’s the right thing to say, while, others-
I was only 15, nearly 16 years old, when I first met Nancy (well, not literally, because I’d been seeing her around; just never bothered to say hi), at a party I recall, and I knew just then, immediately she’d said ‘nice to meet you,’ that there was going to be some kind of a twist to both our life stories.

PART ONE
July 13th, 1970
Abigail, meet Joseph. I think you two might really hit it off!
Shielding her eyes from the sun, Abigail turned and saw a handsome, well-groomed guy reaching out a hand.
Hey,
he said with a smile. Maureen has told me so much about you.
I'm... flattered, I guess,
Abigail replied, shaking the guy's hand before turning back to her friend. She wasn't quite sure what to say at the best of times, and especially not when a man was involved. I didn't know Maureen was talking about me to people!
