The Ketogenic diet entails a healthy eating pattern that is low in carbohydrates, moderate in protein and high in fat. This eating lifestyle turns your body into a fat burning machine. The primary motive of embracing the ketogenic diet is to make the body enter the state of ketosis. This is when the body produces ketones that provide an alternative fuel supply from fats instead of carbohydrates. This can be achieved when foods low in carbohydrate are consumed.
