- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have the physical copy, but saw it here at Scribd and wanted to leave a review. It's an excellent book! One of the most useful and handy books on making your own spiritual (magick) oils.
It has traditional recipes for things like Fast Money Oil, Road Opener Oil, Van Van Oil, and Uncrossing Oil, as well as a few powders and incenses. There are some recipes that use less common essential oils, so you may need to use the dried herb or find a substitute.
This book has a little bit of everything and is a blend of light/white magick and baneful. So you'll find a wide variety of oils and powders, from Angel Oil and Holy Water, to Compelling Oil and Goofer Dust. New practitioners should use caution with some of these recipes as you don't want to inadvertently harm yourself.
Magical Blends is an awesome reference book and I look at it all the time when I make spiritual oils or powders.3 people found this helpful

Introduction
For centuries practitioners have been combining different herbs and spices to powerful effect. Formulas are even found in the bible. Some formulas have been passed down generations with some taking on a legendary traditional use. Although one can make your own blend of ingredients, it is often easier and more effective to use a proven blend, where all the ingredients complement each other and align with your desired outcome.
This book gives formulas and uses for over 120 different blends. Famous ones such as van van oil, war water, crown of success oil, black arts oil, bat’s blood ink, goofer dust, florida water, 9 african power oil, dark arts protection oil, dragon’s blood ink, and more are included.
If you ever wondered what is in these formulas, wanted to make your own to save money, open your own shop, or sell from home to make a few extra bucks, this book is for you.

Note
There are thousands upon thousands of blends to be found for different uses. Sometimes ingredients differ only slightly. Other times there is a marked difference. Different blends for the same use are often due to the availability of ingredients, and personal preference. However, the properties an ingredient has is normally the same as the ingredient it replaces. So the end result is still the same. The trick is to know what ingredients to use for the desired outcome, that will work powerfully when used together.
If you cannot find an ingredient, replace it with a suitable alternative that has the same properties, such as protection, from the list given later in the book. Note that in all blends, often there are one or more ingredients that make up the heart of that blend. Without those ingredients, it is just not the same blend.
Many of the blends given use essential oils. Some essential oils are toxic, and some can burn your skin if used undiluted. Many of the formulas for a blend given may be strong as they are intended for candle work. Test on a small part of your skin before using as anointing oil. Dilute the blend more if your skin reacts to it. If you cannot find a specific oil, you can use the powdered or crushed version of the herb, resin, or spice.
You can buy small amber bottles with roll-on tops that you can carry on your person. This allows you to easily anoint yourself without using excessive amounts of oil. And have a handy blend at hand for emergencies or when you travel. The roll-on will also not leak all over your stuff if the cap comes off or is loose.
To enhance your oils, add crystals and other objects to them, which are related to the outcome you want. Often silver or gold glitter is used in prosperity spells, and nails in protection and hex breaking spells.
Tips For Mixing
When you create your own blends, your thoughts, ideas, and beliefs affect the power of the resulting blend. Only do one blend at a time, and concentrate on what the results are that you want. This is especially true if you use herbs and grind them fine. You could do the following. If you are making a hexing blend, imagine you grinding your enemies as you grind the herb. If you are making a prosperity blend, imagine prosperity being released from the herbs and the universe, and it coming to you as you grind the herbs. With uncrossing blends imagine all bindings and curses being ground to dust. With protection, imagine all negativity or curses send to you being shattered and ground to dust. For love, imagine loving energy coming out of the herbs, mixing with yours, and then go to your ideal partner and bringing him/her to you.
Since your emotions affect a blend greatly, do not do a love or prosperity blend when you are angry, sad, or afraid. Likewise do not do a hex -breaking blend when you are afraid or have your mind on other things.
Oils and herbs are there to aid your spell. The most important thing in a spell is your intention, focus, and willpower. The most exotic ingredients may do nothing if you doubt the outcome. Your belief is more important than the ingredients. The ingredients in each blend bring their own scent and vibration. This affects you subtly and changes your vibration in line with the results you want. Thus blends help you to focus and strengthen your intent of what you want, while adding additional power from their vibration and scent. But the two must be in sync.
With experience and imagination, you will learn what
