Beschreibung

The first story, "Simón", is a story follows two ordinary yet brave men who answer to the call of rebellion against the repressing forces that have been taunting them for a long time. They take after the independent figure of Simón Bolívar and confront the ignorance each in their own way.

"Bolero," the story that follows, is about a couple that faces the absence of their daughter and extreme living conditions. Paula and Daniel had everything--titles, sports cars, and an enviable reputation--only to have it all taken away with time. The reasons why they don't leave are inconclusive, but the reason why they stay is for a cause greater than themselves.

The third story, "Michelangelo and Torrigiano", plunges into the world of Lucca, a confused twelve-year-old kid that makes a bet with his bully. Who would've thought this bet would reveal more than a bloody nose and the key to have perfect sculptures?

The last story, "Immobilized", shows the double life of an immigrant’s attorney. He is dragged into a situation where his secret is almost discovered. He will have to dive in his past to know what step will come next.

I was the breath of breaths, the blood of blood––the ripple of the canoe in the rivers that create channels and deltas. I was the virtue propelling freedom. I was the incompetence in all of the laws in the market. I was the natural laws that took you to that certain person that put all of your favorite songs in that Walkman.

I lived in the synapsis of every brain cell captivating the gifts of the universe. I was the different colors of the dirt and the soils. I liked to be on the side of the road. I was the eternal new
