Beschreibung

If you liked the Sin City movie then you will like this volume of Sin City as well. It is just as dark and gritty as the previous volume. All the men are tough and all the women are sexy. With everything in black and white it is very stark and spare artwork. Nothing about this is politically correct so don't be surprised by the content. If you want a gritty noir story with the violence and skin amped up to 11 then this will work for you.

This is a fast-paced read that will have you quickly hooked. It begins at a time earlier than the first book in the series, with a few connections from The Hard Goodbye coming in about midway. The two main characters, Dwight and Ava, are more interesting to me than Marv was in the first book, and Dwight’s motivations are much more logical than Marv’s. I enjoy Miller’s to-the-point dialogue, which works well with the noir feel of these books.

The last of the Sin City books to be read (damn library thieves) but possibly the best of the lot. Frank Miller's creation is never more vivid nor the characters so moving as in this volume. The best thing I can say is that while the ending is not truly surprising I was so engrossed in the story that it took me by surprise - and left me sorry that it was over.

Much much better than the movie!

Violent, graphic and ultimately entertaining. Sit back and enjoy, if you need a session of mindless action.

It's a Sin City book; you know what to expect. Still worth reading, though.

Another fantastic story! Naked women and gullible, tough ass-kicking men! Love it!
