Beschreibung

The more of these I read, the more ham fisted and misogynist they feel. But I'm gonna finish the set.

"Deadly little Miho. She'll cut you quick. She'll kill you quiet. You won't feel a thing, not unless she wants you to."Great characters, great writing! I couldn't put it down!
  • (3/5)
Violent, graphic and ultimately entertaining. Sit back and enjoy, if you need a session of mindless action.
  • (4/5)
Frank Miller's gritty noir series continues with Dwight coming to the aid of the girls of Old Town when they unknowingly kill someone they shouldn't (but he was such an ass, you're not sad to see him go).Definitely a fun read, and it fits the crime noir setting with both it's beautifully striking black and white imagery, heavy contrast (both visually and morally) and holdover dialogue from the 40s.
  • (4/5)
my least favourite of Sin City Books 1 to 4 - the reconfigured Dwight character doesn't present the same dissonant, ambigious moral issues as Marv for example does.

Awesome story! Can't wait for the next movie.

Another installment of Frank Miller’s Sin City comics brings more gratuitous sex and violence, but it’s riveting. In this volume, Dwight’s new girlfriend has an ex-boyfriend with a nasty temper and a penchant for violence against women. When he wanders into Old Town with threats of violence, the prostitutes end up killing him, finding out afterwards that he is a cop. This will break the truce between the police and the prostitutes if word gets out. Dwight teams up with Gail, Miho, and some of the other girls to make sure that doesn’t happen. While the plot (and thirst for blood) is weaker than the first two volumes and there’s no real mystery, once you pick up this book you’ll not want to put it down until you’ve read it all.
