The word of God gives us an assurance that when God starts something in us, He is faithful to complete the work.

Introduction

How do you begin each day? Does your day begin with a scramble, with a flurry, with trying to do three different things at the same time? Do you often find yourself short of breath, short tempered, angry with your spouse, shouting at the children, anxious, baffled, restless. Do you go into the day unprepared, ill equipped, not confident of what lies ahead of you?

Clear your heart of all bitterness and anger in order to receive the very best from God each and every day.

When you awake thank God for the gift of your life despite the circumstances. Read your message and reflect upon it in prayer, this will change your life.

Psalm 5:3

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

Lift your voice to God in prayer, lay your requests before Him and set out before Him the things you are going to do this day. Commit to the Lord your problems and achievements,, then you will be able to wait in great expectation. You will not be worried or fearful. The prayers you committed to God will be answered.

Good morning my dear friend, I trust and believe you will enjoy this journey with me of unleashing your day as you meditate on the Word of God to bring, healing, joy, peace, and restoration for your breakthrough each and every day.

That is the secret, begin each day by letting God hear your voice.

DAY 1

True love gives

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We have quoted the above scripture from and may have taken the meaning of love lightly. When you love someone, your actions speak more than your words. God loved us to a point of giving His only Son as a sacrifice to prove His love for us. What are you giving God to show your Love?

Many men, have passed telling ladies they love them yet they fail in showing their love. We have grown to be lovers of self, even giving time it is a challenge. Hurt, disappointment, betrayal are birthed out of unmet expectations from love.

Love without expectation. Love like Christ loved the world. Love to a point of sacrifice, without compromise. Say less and do more. True love is deeper and stronger.

If love does not offer anything it is only lip service. True love gives. Act on your commitment to love.

DAY 2

Influence or be influenced

Prov 13:20

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are

This is the famous quote that we say to people when we want to know their true identity. To succeed in business you associate yourself with like-minded business people. The rich influence the poor.

The same applies to your Christian walk with God, you need to be surrounded by spiritual people who will help you grow and become better. What you often spend time doing, it becomes your lifestyle.

Being with the opposite of what you are doing leads to one influencing the other. The question is: will you be influenced or the influencer? I am reminded of Elisha when he kept close to Elijah to receive a double portion of what he carried.

I would like to encourage you to run away from people who are not going in your direction. You will wake up to find yourself in an unfamiliar destination, going back may be costly or not at all possible. It is better to walk alone than jump onto an unmarked train.

Have an influential day.

DAY 3

Do not dare

Phillipians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath

begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Have you ever started something and then struggled or failed to finish it. When you hit rock bottom you feel like everything is crashing. That is what happens when we do things without God.

The word of God gives us an assurance that when God starts something in us, He is faithful to complete the work.

He gave you the idea, trust Him to make a way for you. He gave you the marriage, trust Him to rekindle the love. He gave you life, trust Him to take care of you. Be confident in Jesus, He will not bring you this far to leave you.

He said, I’m taking you to the promised land. He did not mention the Red sea, no obstacles matter to God. What matters is the promise just, His guidance.

Do not spend this day stressing, worrying or anxious. The battle is not yours, the battle is the Lord’s.

Have a glorious day.

DAY 4

Forgiveness

Mark 11:25 & 26

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

I forgive you,this is easier said than done. Imagine how many times you have said I forgave you yet later say I want nothing to do with you. True forgiveness is fully letting go of the hurt, forget it and move past it without reminding those who wronged you at every opportunity that you get.

My assistant broke one of my most treasured possessions. I snapped and remembered her mistakes, I said I’m done with her, she often makes mistakes immediately the Holy Spirit reminded of my mistakes .

Ask God to help you to forgive. That includes, the abusive spouse, the rapist, the thief, the person who broke your heart, the parent who did not raise you and those who wronged or betrayed your trust. Remember when you hold a grudge against someone you become their prisoner.

Have a forgiving day.

DAY 5

Back to basics

Gen 1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God never intended for you to lack, to be a second class citizen, just to survive, to be a spectator or be a beggar.

This verse clearly tells us that you were created to be a success.

Fear got to us and we placed limits around our abilities and made ourselves to believe that we are ordinary. You are not an ordinary being. You are smart, intelligent, capable, beautiful, handsome, chosen and more than able.

Shake that fear out of your mind, wake up from dreaming then go and take over. Drive a fast car, pilot a jet, live in that mansion, eat the finest food, travel the world and remember to act on your prayers.

Jesus did not die in vain for you to live below the expected standard of life.

Have limitless day.

DAY 6

change my life

1Sam 2:2

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Your life is not exactly the way you planned it. Did you spend time deep in thought, rather than more time in doing?

Hannah was tired of complaining to Elkanah her husband about children, clearly the problem was not him because his other wife Peninah had lots of children.

Insults were being thrown at Hannah, her womb was shut by God. Then she approached the one who was able to change her situation and Samuel was born.

Before you say: That husband is cheating , that wife is old and ugly, the business is not working or my condition is worse.

Take a moment and look inside yourself, perhaps the problem is within you.

Today, before you make an irreversible mistake, ask God to reveal the root cause of what you are going through. Repair the crack before it breaks.

DAY 7

Appreciation

1Cor 1:4

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

When was the last time you acknowledged and appreciated your loved ones?

This morning, I thought it necessary to thank God for loving me. To thank Jesus for dying for me. Thank you Holy Spirit for always being around me.

Today do not complain, just be grateful to be alive. Married people, be thankful for your spouse with all their flaws.

Single people, don’t despair thank God for taking His time preparing your partner. When you are finally married you will appreciate your spouse, they will be worth the wait.

Give your children kisses, call your parents, hug your friends, tell them you love and appreciate them. Never take people for granted, words of appreciation goes a long way.

Have a grateful day.

DAY 8

They had to leave you

Ruth 1:14

And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.

One morning I thought of all the people who left my life and I laughed with joy. When Oprah left Naomi, it was a sad moment but this had to happen because the future was unknown to them.

The true reason was later revealed when Boaz appeared. Imagine if Naomi still had two women around her and only one Boaz available.

God has a purpose for your life and it is time that you release people who want to go and embrace those who wish to stay.

Stop crying for that man who left you with nothing but wasted years. Do not be angry with that woman who ran away.

They had to leave because they were never a part of your God ordained destiny. Look at it like this: they left because you were too great for them and they could not contain the dynamite within you.

Have an amazing let go day.

DAY 9

Enlarge your territory

1Chronicles 4:10

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

God moves and acts when we ask in faith

I want to encourage those who may be grieving, full of sorrow or at the point of breaking down.

Call on the Lord, the ruler of everything to bless you and increase your territory. Pain lasts for a night but joy comes in the morning.

The God that changed Jabez story is changing the end of your story too. God does not enjoy seeing you suffer, He wants you to live an overflowing life. Stand on His word, look unto God and ask Him to change your circumstances in the name of Jesus.

DAY 10

Help others

Luke 10:30

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

How many of us would act like this Samaritan. How many of us act like the priests who turned a blind eye. Society has brainwashed us to believe God helps those who help themselves.

Today please take a moment to look around and find someone you can help. Jesus said we must love our neighbours as the second great commandment. If you pray in tongues yet without a heart to help others it is hopeless.

It is sad that the world is full of people who go hungry or are without shelter yet we call ourselves Christ like. Let us repent and we take care of them while we are able to help.

It is certain that you know of a person who needs help. Go and help that person as a sign of love.

Have a giving day.

DAY 11

Love is free

Genesis 29:22

And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.

When Leah conceived, she used her child as a condition for the husband to love her. Many married and single people have

fallen for the deception of thinking, you need to do something for someone to love you.

God has no conditions or expectations attached to His love for you. You need to question the love if it is attached to conditions.

Today, decide to love without expecting the other person to do something before you love them. Do not love them because they buy you things, choose to love them.

God loves you dearly, love Him back not for what you can gain. Love God because first He loved you. If you do not receive gifts do not be mad. You are special and have already received the greatest gift of life which is Jesus.

Have a special day.

DAY 12

Do not dare

John 10:10

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that

they have it more abundantly.

I saw once on a movie a hero playing with a snake as his pet and one day the snake turned against him and quietly swallowed him to his death. I thought the man was suicidal. How can one keep a python in the house and sleep in peace.

That is what many Christians do, they play with satan. You allow the enemy into your bedroom, have fun and expect him to play nice. In no time you will be stripped naked and bound, with everything in your house gone and your bank account empty.

Satan is not your friend, he gets close enough to let you open up and then brutally kill you, destroy your hard work and steal from you like a scavenger.

Do not be foolish to think satan wants to see you successful. He wants you down, out and begging. Thank God for Jesus who wants to be close so that we live a longer fulfilled and prosperous life. Today choose Jesus to enter and stay into your life, evict satan without notice.

Have a satan free day.

DAY 13

Realise your dreams

Genesis 37:5

And Joseph dreamed a dream...

You may have dreams of becoming the greatest business person in your field or have the best marriage ever or graduate cum laude. You are well capable, however there’s a journey that you need to travel on and it is not an easy path. Are you willing to work and make your dreams come true.

Take short cuts and stay in bed dreaming. Joseph’s dream did not include the pit, slavery and prison yet it was all part of the journey.

Great men of God had to sacrifice the comfort of sleep to pray, fast and study the word of God to be counted amongst God’s best. The higher the building, the deeper you dig for a firm foundation.

Take courage in knowing that God is on your side, no matter how hard things may be, dreams do come true.

Have a courageous day.

DAY 14

Stay in God

Psalm 91:1

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

David sinned and still ran to God for cover and safety. He knew that God gives a second chance. God is the best judge, hence he found refuge in God.

We all know that society will judge and never forget your flaws. You turn to your friend in confidence to pour out your heart and later they will use this against you. Never allow guilt to take you away from God. Call on the Lord the creator of the universe. No matter how far you may have fallen, run back to God.

A child will do wrong, mom spanks the child. While the child is in pain and crying, they run to the same mom that punished them. The prodigal son sinned against God and his father yet returned home and his father embraced him and celebrated his return.

God is waiting for you to come back to Him with all your wounds and problems. He will nurse and protect you with His love.

DAY 15

The motive

Lamentations 3:40

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

Many times we pray and ask God for things, financial breakthrough, healing, marriages, children, wisdom, strength, the list is endless. However, we find it difficult to give God just a little bit of what He gave to us. Once we get what we want we are so quick to have excuses for everything and expect God to understand.

We have meetings or play golf on the day of worship. Month end bills pile up and we are unable to give. Our jobs and studies take up our Bible study time. We idolise our marriages and children. Then things go wrong and suddenly we call on the Lord for intervention. That’s not fair no one wants to be used as a spare wheel, you want to be the main one.

Let us not treat God like a disposable object or a fire extinguisher. He remains the all-knowing God who is more than able to turn your situation around.
