About this ebook

Long before the advent of the European to the African soil, the Igbo people, in present day South-East Nigeria, have always known that some children constantly crisscross between the physical and the spiritual world, in an unending circle of death and rebirth, like the day turning into night.

Ijele is an Ogbanje child, but unlike other Ogbanje children, Ijele didn't come to the physical world to torment Ekemma, his human mother. No. Rather, Ijele came to rescue her from the curse of Nnedi, her spirit sister that has been causing Ekemma grief because of her unending circle of death and rebirth.
