About this ebook
USA Today bestselling author Ward Larsen's Assassin's Run revives globe-trotting, hard-hitting assassin David Slaton for another breathless espionage adventure.
When a Russian oligarch is killed by a single bullet on his yacht off the Isle of Capri, Russian intelligence sources speculate that a legendary Israeli assassin, long thought dead, might be responsible. However, David Slaton—the assassin in question—is innocent. Realizing the only way to clear his name is to find out who’s truly responsible, he travels to Capri.
While he searches, a web of disparate events unfolds across the Middle East. Three ships, owned by the group of Russians, deliver a mysterious cargo to the shores of the Arabian Peninsula. In Morocco, a Russian aerospace company begins flight testing an innovative new drone.
From Switzerland to the Red Sea to Morocco, Slaton gradually uncovers a conspiracy of monumental scope. It is a plot that will change the world strategic order—and one that goes straight to the top of the Russian government.

Reviews for Assassin's Run
12 ratings1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5In “Assassin’s Run”, the fifth book in Ward Larsen’s David Slaton series two Russian Oligarchs are murdered, and rumors surface that Slaton is not only alive, but that he is responsible for the assassination. CIA analyst Anna Sorenson requests Slaton’s help, but he declines, telling her he has retired. She counters by pointing out that she was able to locate him on his sailboat in Vieste, Italy in only two days. Convinced that his family is not safe so long as Russian authorities believe he murdered the Oligarchs, Slaton agrees to assist the CIA and Mossad.“Assassin’s Run” is a workmanlike but not particularly strong tale. Larsen failed to distinguish what the reader needs to know from what the reader can assume or infer. As a consequence, he provides unnecessary detail, and indeed, in a couple of instances, unnecessary chapters. The result is a plodding tale that lacks excitement.A leaner, more disciplined approach would have resulted in a superior tale.
