The tape.
The police officers could identity it as the voice of the girl. It was such a shilling sound, it melted their hearts
mum!!!, oh mummy!!!, what have I done to deserve this. I have loved you and devoted my life to make you happy . You choose to abandon me in this place all alone . My heart is full of fear. I don't know how to please you. Everyday I face a world that sees my outward part but inside is a dead small child.... Come and save me mum.... Please!!!......
Chapter one
Mum
My baby was just five years old when she was stolen . I have cried myself to sleep many times. My mind can't stop thinking about her. She was the angel of my world.
Her father died a year after her birth. Her grandmother threw me out of her house. I had to fend for her alone without any help. This made our bond so strong that we seem inseparable.
Now my agony is increased. I have lost all hope of ever finding her. This is the 5th year she disappeared from the surface of the earth.

That since she started reciting it, she has been dreaming strange dreams. That this last one is the strangest of all.
I told her to recite the codes. It was the Rosary. Lami was a staunch Catholic so I was not surprised. The part I don't understand is the link between the rosary and bad dreams. So I prompted her. She told me she had had four different dreams and they came to pass the same way she saw it.The one that struck her was the third one which was about her teacher. She dreamt of seeing a woman giving her a golden wrist watch and then it fell down and shattered. The dream happened exactly like that the next day. So I asked her to tell me the last one so she can bath and go to school. She said she dreamt of where grandma came to school and took her away during breaks and then she turned into a man. That she cried yet nobody could help her. I was surprised but not alarmed.
Her grandma had long left for Ghana a year after the
