    1.  Disclaimer

THE IDEAS DISCUSSED in this book are my opinions and personal experiences as a Human Resources Practitioner. I will be sharing my experiences showing how you can take advantage of the recruitment process to land your dream job. The following advice in this book will not guarantee that you get the job but only seeks to enlighten you on how you can get your dream job.

    2.  Introduction

WHEN I HAD FINISHED my degree and I was on the job market, it was very difficult to land the dream job or any job for that matter. My friends and school mates were being called for multiple interviews and I wasn’t being called for any interview. You start to question yourself and your abilities when you get into this situation. If you have ever been in this situation then this book is definitely for you. When I did get the job, it wasn’t the job I was dreaming about then I decided to look for my dream job at any fancy company which has hefty perks which would carter for my needs. I have moved from one employer to the other searching for the dream jobs as a result I have been exposed to both sides of the recruitment process.

Looking for a job isn’t all that easy especially today where there is high unemployment. My profession as a HR practitioner has greatly exposed me to the whole system of recruitment and selection. On a weekly basis people from all walks of life send their application to me and over the years I have conducted over hundred interviews for both senior positions and junior positions. Being on the other side of the table you see a lot of mistakes that job seekers make that they are not aware of. These are the things that can be corrected fairly easy. I have decided to write this book to share my experiences on how to land a job and avoid making mistakes.

    3.  Develop yourself

DEVELOPING YOURSELF is the first aspect of getting your dream job. You cannot expect to land your dream job
