About this ebook
Local reporter and bonafide burnout Caroline Hedstrom may not have what it takes to become a hard-hitting journalist, but she’s seen enough to know a thing or two about how the world works. For her, life is pretty easy: Write a story, take a paycheck, and go home to the bottle and the barn out back. But when a wave of grisly violence rattles her North Dakota home, Caroline is at a loss for words. As she digs deeper into the story, Caroline discovers just how hot a good search can be, and how dangerous her pride really is. Will the thrill of desire be enough to tether Caroline to the real world, or will her thirst for truth push her over the edge?
After a chance encounter with a charismatic but sinister religious leader, Caroline quickly discovers that she is not alone. When the Revelator’s devotees begin to follow her around the clock, Caroline must choose between her own safety and the thrill of breaking the mystery wide open.

When to Follow, and When to Chase (Part 4) - Holly Glass
When to Follow, and When to Chase—
In the weeks that followed, I began to tell a different story. I claimed ignorance, using lines like I don’t know what came over me, or What was I thinking? They whispered that, in my effort to tell a good story or finally catch my big break, I’d lost myself in a stranger’s disarming charm.
The whispers in a small town have a bite that’s just as sharp as national headlines and tabloid tales. When the people who’ve
