About this ebook

‘THE ONE’ is a light-hearted read, simple in explanation, but what are perhaps deeper, underlying messages for each reader to ingest and make sense of in their own particular way. It is hoped that the book will serve as a conduit in revealing eternal truths. Like the Lotus Blossom, one petal after the other opening, unfolding and transforming to show the beauty and wisdom within. All springing forth from THE ONE.

    The One - Theresa Khan-O'Doherty

    Aristotle

    Section 1: Introducing ‘THE ONE’

Ramtha said to Shanti: Which tribe are you with?

From a spiritual perspective, One is the number of creation, the primal force from which all other numbers spring forth. Om, the first breath of the Universe. The breath of life. The symbol of the perfect Unity.

Number One, the villa in Spain where we are staying over the winter months, and where I write and put together the compilation of the first pieces of writing and from which all other pieces of writing have sprung forth.

One also represents the beginning, or even a new beginning. A new beginning to see the world with different eyes… that is, go beyond the limits you set yourself, beyond the fish bowl and step into the world where thought or observations may not be similar, but still intriguing enough to keep your attention. We learn from one another and listening or reading about someone else’s observations can help to open ones’ eyes, heart and mind to other types of perceptions. All perceptions come from some type of understanding of an experience, good or bad, but nevertheless a perception that may, in any case reveal wisdom, insight and ideas that you may never have considered.

Heraclitus said that, "the multiplicity of things comes

ONE and from ONE the multiplicity."

In a higher sense we are all connected and part of the whole. We can’t deny that we certainly have at one time or another, felt an inner feeling, knowing or spark of thought that we must be more than just flesh, bones, body that is destined to end up in a death at some point in our life, and that is the final curtain for each one of us. That inner knowing tugs at our soul and we finally listen to that inner voice that says, ‘we are much more than that.’

The belief that when we die is the absolute ending with no other life of any kind, is a limiting belief, and perhaps sets the stage for one’s ‘fear of death’ through this life.

To cloud our inherent understanding about death itself. Thus, reinforcing that we are separate from and not part of any whole. We conclude that we are alone and separate from all others, in this big expansive world, so the search begins for that group we can call our tribe, that longing to belong.

As human beings we all want to feel a belonging or a part of something, a group or even part of a family. This is an instinct and one that has been around for hundreds and thousands of years, since we were birthed into this world. Basically, we want to belong, be with those who love us and whom we love, those that perhaps have the same ethos, belief, ideas as we do. A specific tribe that is a tribe we can call ‘our tribe’. Those that have accepted you for who you are.

However, in truth we are already a part of a much bigger essence or presence, which we have never been separated from; from whence we have all sprung forth, from the beginning, which in fact has no ending. Where all that is, is and where pure love and light stems. When we eventually wake up to what has always been, you no longer feel alone.

Once you understand this truth, you don’t have that great need that you perhaps once had, and that is to belong because you already belong. You don’t have the great need to connect, because you have never been disconnected. You certainly know that you aren’t separated from, because you know you are a part of the whole from whence you have always been and forever will be. There is no need to feel accepted by others, because you have accepted yourself and you also know that you are part of the creator, ‘THE ONE’. With this comes an understanding that there is no death, that there is only eternal life; and that the highest expression of LOVE is ONENESS with all that is.

…and Shanti said to Ramtha without hesitation:

    ‘THE ONE’

Section 2: Little Lotus’ Words of Wisdom

I was on the phone recently, with my niece, whose two-year-old daughter, Lotus had just woken up from her sleep and told her mum that she had just thanked her body for giving her a good night’s sleep. She said,

Thank you, body, for giving me a good night’s sleep.

What wise, insightful words to say first thing in the morning to one’s body. How positive and refreshed might one feel after giving thanks to your body for giving a good night’s sleep?

For Lotus to say these words so naturally, without effort and with a knowing that somehow her body would benefit from being told this; are words instinctively spoken and which would indeed nourish the body like a blossoming Lotus flower.

When was the last time you spoke to your body – giving thanks and appreciation with nourishing words?

Our bodies and the makeup of our cells, organs, etc. have been with us from the day we were born – it houses our soul; it is the temple for our divine being – it holds our heart – it does so much more then we might realise and yet it is probably the last thing we take note of when it comes to thanking it, loving it, and appreciating it for all the hard work it does to keep us alive, healthy and moving in this physical form.

There have been studies to show that by speaking positive words, giving thanks and appreciation for – as an affirmation, mantra or spoken as naturally as Lotus did – will benefit and improve well-being on many levels.

In fact, the work that Dr Masaru Emoto did in his research of water crystals, is a great example of how positive words can have such an impact and equally so, how negative words can also have an impact.

Dr Emoto took numerous photos of water crystals – after writing words such as love, thankfulness and gratitude on the containers of water and conversely, words such as hate, war and evil, on another set of containers of water. He then took pictures of the crystals formed in these various containers of water. The pictures of crystals from the containers filled with water with positive words were beautiful, clear and well-formed. Whereas, the crystals subjected to negative words were dark, shadowy and less well formed.

Following on with this theme – as you know, the human body is known to be contained in excess of 65% water. Can you imagine therefore, about the impact of saying thankful, grateful, loving words to your body on a regular basis, what might the amazing effects be?

On a deeper level – for Lotus to say these wise words to her body also demonstrates that she instinctively knows that she has a physical and spiritual dimension to her being. In essence, what she is saying in those few wise words is that the spiritual part of her being is thanking her physical body for the good night’s sleep. Accessing her inner knowing comes natural to her and without a second thought.

Perhaps we all need to take a leaf out of Little Lotus’ Book of Wisdom and do as she does… waking up each morning, giving thanks to the body and accessing our own ‘inner knowing’. You can never go wrong with the wisdom that sits within. I am sure the results will be just as glittery and sparkly as the crystals in Dr Masaru Emoto’s research.

Following on from the previous page, which focused on saying thank you to your body for giving you a good night’s sleep, effectively demonstrating appreciation and the positive outcome you can achieve. Did you try it? If so, have you seen any effects
