PREFACE
THIS BOOK IS THE SECOND volume in The Christian Short Story Collection trilogy.
Consisting of ten short stories as its predecessor Vol.1, Vol. 2 is for youngsters and the young-at-heart.
The main intention of this book is to highlight human trafficking which unfortunately is happening in the world today, particularly of children, who are kidnapped around the world and sold into prostitution, some as young as three. The sixth story in this book, titled ‘The Score’, highlighted on the book cover, concerns this. It’s accompanying photograph of unworn shoes represents all that remains when a person is snatched.
To help combat human trafficking, $1 from the sale of each copy of The Christian Short Story Collection Vol. 2 will be donated to an organization dedicated to the cause against human trafficking.
Thank you, dear reader, for purchasing this book; and I encourage you to encourage others to do the same to save a life. God bless.

THE STAIN
BASED ON PROVERBS Chapter 23, verses 6 – 8
Don’t associate with evil men...Their kindness is a trick; they want to use you as their pawn. The delicious food they serve will turn sour in your stomach and you will vomit it, and have to take back your words of appreciation for their kindness.

"UNCLE JOE?’
Yes, this is Joe. Who’s speaking?
The man placed a finger in his other ear as he strained to hear the voice coming through his phone. Then the call cut off.
The man shook his head and returned to supervising his business.
Uncle Joe was well known in his city. He went about thrice a week looking to buy goods the owners no longer needed. Because of his diligent work he had a massive shop, nearly a warehouse, full of all kinds of items that had been carefully repaired and refurbished and were now on sale.
He had a good reputation because he hated the idea of ripping clients off and always purchased goods fairly. In addition, he sold quality merchandise. People enjoyed coming to his shop because he was so friendly, and often they brought items to sell to him. His staff considered him to be a one of a kind boss.
His phone rang.
Hello?
Hi Joe, do you have any boats in stock at the moment?
Yes, I do. I have several, a Pola X90, an Alexandra 5.85 and others in store. Why don’t you come have a look?
With so many queries to attend to and visiting clients, Uncle Joe forgot about the mystery caller.
Later that evening his phone rang again.
Hello, Uncle Joe it’s me Jimmie, your nephew. I tried calling you earlier!
Uncle Joe was relaxing and having dinner when the call came through. He lived alone, but was engaged.
Jimmie was a nephew, his elder brother’s son.
Yes my boy, I have not heard from you in sometime. Is everything alright?
Not exactly, Uncle. I know you are very busy, but can I see you tomorrow?
Tomorrow’s Saturday,
Uncle Joe said. It’s a half day. Yes, meet me here at home at three o’ clock.
That Saturday morning was extremely busy, and by the time Uncle Joe got back home he was very tired. I am too tired to cook,
he said to himself. And I have Jimmie coming to see me. Let me order something delicious.
He looked at some menus he kept in a kitchen drawer, and by the time his nephew arrived the food had already been delivered.
How are you doing, my boy?
Uncle Joe asked with concern as they sat down in the lounge. Is something the matter?
Thanks for having me, Uncle,
Jimmie said. I’m alright, sort of. I just lost my job and I must now move out of where I’m staying. My dad is late, and I have nowhere to stay.
It is a difficult situation,
Uncle Joe said thoughtfully. What do you want to do?
Jimmie sat on the edge of his seat. Can I stay here with you, just until I get on my feet? I promise I won’t be a bother. I will help you, you won’t need to worry about a thing!
Now Jimmie,
