Conclusion

The word numismatics is rare for the public but common for those who are fond of collecting coins. This word comes from the ancient Greek language - it means the regular or even coin. The numismatics - a generic term for the science of money. In general, however, collecting coins is generally referred to as numismatics. It is not only about coins that serve as currency, but also about special collector coins that are brought onto the market on the occasion of special events or as a series, usually in gold or silver. People who practice the hobby of collecting coins are called numismatists. It is not just a matter of studying coin catalogs, but rather of deeply familiarizing with the historical context.

Collecting coins is a hobby that is not just an investment. The study of coins is also interesting from a scientific point of view. Those who collect coins as a hobby usually specialize in a specific sub-area of numismatics. These can be coins from a specific country, a defined period of time, or a special collection area. Many hobby numismatists are dedicated to coins that were issued on the occasion of the Olympic Games. Still, othernumismatists deal with unique commemorative, special and unusual coins, the collectors’ world of which is usually recorded in a numismatics catalog. Coins that show motifs from seafaring are also popular incollecting areas. This particular area is called Numismatics. Starting from the date of issuance of the euro in the European Union, many interested parties have been collecting the various euro issues of coins from the EUcountries. Of these coins, there are significantly more in circulation dueto their age.

HISTORY OF COINS

An important sub-area in collecting coins is ancient coins, which are excavated from underneath and recovering old ships. They provide information about critical historical events because they depict rulers or other people with historical significance. The metal, the processing, and the embossed picture allow drawing conclusions about life in antiquity or the Middle Ages. In this area, there are synergies from archaeology and numismatics. The value of such coins can usually not merely be found in a catalog since there is also an individual collector’s value. The value of the coins varies widely. However, the coins were often issued in large quantity, many copies have little financial value. Age, material, and state of preservation play an important role in determining the value. The situation is different for coins that have only been minted very rarely or that were produced as misprints, i.e., with small errors. These can achieve considerable values on the collector’s market. Such rarities come in specialist shops, at special trade rates and auctions. Hobby collectors and hobby numismatists will also find the opportunity to expand their coin collection by swapping or buying on collectors’ exchanges.

The history and invention of money are completely related to trading. Before coins reached humans, there was a trade in the exchange of natural materials.

So include mussels to the first exchange materials; goods such as grain, cattle, and gold
