Martha Stephenson

Martha is a chef and a cookbook author. She has had a love of all things culinary since she was old enough to help in the kitchen, and hasn’t wanted to leave the kitchen since. She was born and raised in Illinois, and grew up on a farm, where she acquired her love for fresh, delicious foods. She learned many of her culinary abilities from her mother; most importantly, the need to cook with fresh, homegrown ingredients if at all possible, and how to create an amazing recipe that everyone wants. This gave her the perfect way to share her skill with the world; writing cookbooks to spread the message that fresh, healthy food really can, and does, taste delicious. Now that she is a mother, it is more important than ever to make sure that healthy food is available to the next generation. She hopes to become a household name in cookbooks for her delicious recipes, and healthy outlook.Martha is now living in California with her high school sweetheart, and now husband, John, as well as their infant daughter Isabel, and two dogs; Daisy and Sandy. She is a stay at home mom, who is very much looking forward to expanding their family in the next few years to give their daughter some siblings. She enjoys cooking with, and for, her family and friends, and is waiting impatiently for the day she can start cooking with her daughter.

There is no secret or trick in order to make the juiciest burgers. Even the most novice of chefs can make the best burgers from the comfort of their own home. That is exactly what you will learn to do inside of this book. Inside of this book not only will you learn how to make delicious burgers from scratch, but you will uncover the various flavors of burgers that you can make. You will also have access to over 25 burger recipes to help you achieve just that.

Spicy Chicken Burgers

The combination of classic Tex-Mex flavors with fresh jalapenos, pepper jack cheese and salsa, this is a flavorful burger that you won’t be able to resist.

Makes: 4 servings

Total Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground chicken

¼ cup of onion, chopped

1 Tbsp. of garlic, minced

1 Tbsp. of taco seasoning

1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed and chopped

½ cup of almond flour

1 egg, large

½ tsp. of sea salt

¼ tsp. of black pepper

4 slices of pepper jack cheese

1 avocado, pitted, peeled and thinly sliced

Mild salsa, as needed

4 hamburger buns, lightly toasted

Cilantro, chopped and for garnish

Parsley, chopped and for garnish

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, add in the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, taco seasoning, chopped jalapeno pepper, almond flour, egg, salt and dash of black pepper. Stir well to mix and shape this mixture into patties.

2. Place a large skillet over medium to high heat. Grease the skillet with cooking spray. Once hot, add in the burgers. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on both sides or until well done.

3. Top each burger with a slice of the pepper
