PAPGELD after a 10-year hiatus

The niece of a former Cabinet minister and ANC stalwart has taken businessperson Raisaka Masebelanga to court to force him pay papgeld. The applicant, who cannot be named to protect the identity of her son, previously worked for the ANC and in media circles.

She slapped Masebelanga with a summons demanding that he fork out R648 000 for defaulting on payments from July 2010 to July last year.

Details about the case are contained in papers filed at the Johannesburg High Court on October 15.
