About this ebook

There are many inspiring women in the Bible, but this woman somehow gets overlooked. Maybe it was her condition that makes people forget her faith, or the names she was called that we remember more than what she was called by Jesus. The woman known as the woman with the issue of the blood was a woman of persistence, devotion, and tenacity; making her way to Jesus no matter the cost. In her Imperfect Pursuit, she ignored the crowd and pushed past her own circumstances, giving her all just to get to Him – just to receive His touch.

SEEKING JESUS IN THE MIDST OF PAIN AND SUFFERING

DEFYING ALL ODDS TO MAKE YOUR WAY TO HIM

PLACING HIS TRUTH BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE

RECEIVING YOUR HEALING AND HIS MIRACULOUS POWER

BEING TRANSFORMED BY HIM…AND SO MUCH MORE!

Everything she lacked drove her to pursue His fullness. The temporary pain to push through the resistance would be worth it just to touch Him and be healed by Jesus. She would have to endure the crawl through the crowd to end up face-to-face with the One who knew her name. The years of fighting she had gone through were the perfect training ground to see her crawl all the way to victory. She was completely up for the challenge - even if it killed her.

Through her endless struggles, she made her way to Him. Years of suffering and pain were all she knew, but she was ready and willing to know something else, to know someone else, to know Jesus. Her life had not been what she thought it would be; she was known as unclean, unworthy, and had been isolated from society. No money, no doctor, and no man could help her; only One could change her life, and she was going to pursue Him no matter the cost. She would crawl her way to Him through the crowd of criticism, being trampled with her every breath; but He was worth it. If only she could touch His hem, she would be healed; that is what she knew, that is what she believed, so she persisted, and made her way to His feet. She received His touch, she received her healing, and she received a brand new life given by Him. She was changed, transformed, and could now tell the world what He had done. She was no longer hidden and no longer silent, but now a voice declaring the testimony of Jesus.

    We love you, Jesus.

I knew if I could just touch even the fringe of your robe I would be healed.

    Luke 8:47 (TPT)

    INTRODUCTION

On 31st October 2013 I found myself in America pursuing the dream to work in women’s ministry, but on that day, God was saying something completely different.

He said, ‘I want you to start writing books.’

I had never written a book in my life or even saw myself as a writer, but in my heart, I already had 19 outlines and titles for books that the Holy Spirit had been talking to me about.

I asked God, ‘How do I write 19 books?’

And His answer was, ‘Just start!’

So, I went to my local coffee shop and put pen to paper. The books seemed to come together really quickly and soon I had completed one, then two, then three, and I got to be the first recipient of a book that I didn’t even remember writing. Upon reading it, it seemed as if I was reading it for the very first time, and every book has been like that since.

So, be on the lookout for more books to come from

The Logan Series as He continues to ask me to write.

    What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight;

what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.

    Matthew 10:27 (NIV)

Imperfect Pursuit is a book to celebrate and learn from the woman with the issue of the blood. With her story found in

the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, she teaches us

what it looks like to pursue Jesus at all costs. She shows us

her hunger, her desire, her devotion, and her blatant need to receive His touch. Through her example, she inspires, encourages, and pushes us to press into Him through a

whole host of impossible circumstances, knowing the truth

that ‘If I only touch Him’ all will be well.

I hope you feel encouraged and inspired by this book and

that it points you only to Him, the one who loves you

enough to ask me to write it. Let it do the work in you that

He wants it to do, and please reach out and let us know

what God has done throughout this book.

Let us build a strong community of truth, justice,

and freedom, all united as one.

All the believers were in fellowship as one body,

and they shared with one another whatever they had.

    Chapter 1

    SUBJECT TO BLEEDING

When I think about the women in the Bible that I can follow by example, many women come to mind; names like Deborah, Esther, Mary, Ruth, Sarah, and Hannah run through my head. Women of bravery, faith, courage, prayer, determination, persistence, and purity.

Villagers in Israel would not fight; they held back until I, Deborah, arose, until I arose, a mother in Israel. God chose new leaders when war came to the city gates. Judges 5:7-8 (NIV)

"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you
