The Zurek family comes from an old Polish noble family. Barons of Zurek - Eichenau. Werner Zurek was born on March 13, 1952 in Völklingen in Saarland, the son of the employee Heinz Kurt Zurek and his wife Maria, née Kußler. At the age of 6 he attended the Catholic elementary school in Völklingen - Geislautern and graduated in 1968 in Geislautern. From 1968 to 1970 he began training as a machinist. From 1970 to 1972 he completed an apprenticeship as a rolling mill worker (smelting worker) at Röchling - Völklingen. From 1972 to 1974 he was a two-year soldier in the Bundeswehr in Daun, where he was trained as a radio operator for electronic combat reconnaissance. He ended his service as a corporal. As a reservist he was promoted to staff sergeant. Acquisition of the Matura at the ILS From 1975 he was a civil servant candidate in the Federal Ministry of Finance (Federal Customs Administration). After passing the final examination, he served as a border control officer under the Federal Border Protection Act and as a customs officer in customs and tax matters and was therefore also an assistant officer at the public prosecutor's office. In 1975 he married his wife Ulrike, née Daub. In 1982 his daughter Sandra was born. In 2014 he retired.     Rogala. In a split shield in the right silver field a red stag's horn with four branches, in the left red field a black buffalo horn; Helmet ornaments: on the right a black buffalo horn, on the left a red stag horn. About the origin it is said: When King Boleslaw Krzeywousty in 1109, returning from the campaign in Prussia and Pomerania, was resting near Raski and enjoying hunting, he was in danger of being attacked by a wild buffalo. One of the knights in the king's entourage, Bibersztein, grabbed the buffalo by one of its horns, pulled it to the ground and twisted its horn in the process. As a reward for his salvation, the king gave Bibersztein a buffalo horn in addition to his family coat of arms, changing the golden field into a silver one. This new augmented crest was named Rogala by Rog (the Horn). It is also managed in a somewhat different way by individual families, be it that the field remains undivided, the position of the horns is changed, and the field colors are different.
