Gedichte - Dan Ariely
An Annie
Dem Himmel sei Dank,
Die Gefahr ist vorüber!
Wohl bin ich noch krank,
Doch das schreckliche Fieber,
Das Lebensfieber,
Ist glücklich bekämpft,
Ist endlich gedämpft.
Wohl sage ich mir:
»Deine Kraft ist geschwunden«,
Denn ich liege hier
Wie angebunden –
Ans Bett gebunden –
Doch einerlei,
Die Gefahr ist vorbei.
Und ich liege so still
In meinen Decken,
Reglos und still –
Man möchte erschrecken,
Vor mir erschrecken:
Ich bin so weiß
Und atme so leis.
Doch das Stöhnen und Ächzen,
In den Adern das Kochen,
Das wahnsinnige Lechzen,
Das schreckliche Pochen,
Im Herzen das Pochen –
Der Druck von Blei –
Gab mich endlich frei.
Und die zehrende Gier,
Mit der ich geschmachtet,
Ein halber Vampyr,
Nach dem Born, umnachtet,
Dunkel umnachtet,
Dem Born der Hölle,
Der Naphthaquelle
Der Leidenschaft –
Ist nunmehr erschlafft.
Mich dürstet nicht mehr
Nach den dunklen Wellen,
Denn all mein Begehr
Stillt jetzt eine Quelle,
Eine lautere Quelle.
Lauter und sanft
Mit weichem Ranft.
Man sage mir nicht,
Mein Gemach sei ärmlich
Und ohne Licht,
Und mein Lager erbärmlich,
Schmal und erbärmlich –,
Ich liege gut,
Mein Sinnen ruht.
Mein Sinnen ruht.
Mein Gemüt ist entlastet,
Und das wilde Blut
Ward ruhig und hastet
Nicht mehr so jäh
Zum Herzen, wie eh'!
Des, was mich bedrückte,
Betäubte, verwirrte,
Und was mich berückte,
Der Rose und Myrte,
Des Duftes der Myrte,
Denk ich jetzt kaum –
Still ward mein Traum.
Es weht um ihn
Ein heiliger Odem
Von Rosmarin,
Nicht mehr der Brodem,
Der dumpfe Brodem
Der Höllenkraft,
Der Leidenschaft.
Und so liege ich
Wohlig gebettet
Und fühle mich
Glücklich gerettet,
Vom Tod gerettet.
Weich ist mein Pfühl
Und wonnig kühl.
Denn liebewarm
Bin ich umschlossen
Von Annies Arm
Und rings umflossen,
Golden umflossen
Von ihrem Haar,
So sonnenklar.
Bricht der Abend an,
So küßt sie mich innig
Und betet dann
Für mich so innig,
So schlicht und sinnig
Zur Engelschar:
Schützt ihn vor Gefahr!
Da lieg' ich denn still
In meinen Decken,
Reglos und still –
Man möchte erschrecken,
Vor mir erschrecken –
Ich bin so weiß
Und atme so leis.
Doch meine Seele glüht,
Ledig der Schmerzen,
Und ist neu erblüht
An ihrem Herzen
Für alle Zeit
Zur Seligkeit.
Edgar Allan Poe
An Helene
Ich sah dich einmal, einmal nur – vor Jahren.
