A review from Comic Book Resources on the back cover says "It's silly, it's funny, it's irreverent" and I agree will all three assessments. Many times the 4th wall is broken, which leads to all sort of interesting commentary and redirection.

Even though Harley is clearly a villain, the caring side of her comes out many times in this book (sometimes manifesting itself in complete chaos and misunderstanding).

The art melds well with the story telling.

This is the first of any of the New 52 I have read. My previous information about Harley Quinn is from the cartoon Batman, The Animated Series. This story arc gives Harley her own voice and not just an extension of The Joker. It starts with her making a new start in Coney Island as the result of inheriting a building from one of her clients in her secret identity. For some reason someone has put a bounty on her head and she is constantly killing people trying to collect. Most of the issues have her dealing with this at some point although there is some overlap of her personal life with her mayhem life. I liked it and I think I would read the next collection of stuff when it comes out.

This? Was awesome. It's the Harley I've always wanted. She's still a little vague on that whole value of human life thing, but do not harm an animal in her presence. From her new home to her collection of pets to Ivy's visit and the secret of who's after Harley, this was just all-around great. (Provided by publisher.)

I picked this up because of the popularity of this comic book series, and because I generally like Batman comics.

Sad to say I couldn't get into this. Seemed like it was trying to be funny, but then just when you're settling in for a light read, someone's head gets torn off in a blast of blood. The plot itself failed to really grab me. Eventually, I just lost interest and put this book aside.

This comic book take on Harley is decidedly darker and more "sexy" than her original interpretation in the Animated Series. Maybe I'll pick this book up again if they get Paul Dini to write it.
