Modification on Pin & cotter arrangement of equaliser& compensating beam mechanism of WDG3A, WDM3B & WDM3D locomotives fitted with equaliser& compensating beam mechanism. Prevention of cable failure in EMD Locomotives (WDG4 and WDP4). Modification in terminal box cover of AC small motors. Modification for prevention of fire incident in 700 hp DEMU-DPCs with Caterpillar engines. Modification to 16 cyl engine block, main bearing cap, main bearing shell and cap studs. Use of Asbestos free Gasket (with printed silicone bead both sides) in place of existing gasket (HP sheet) in cooling water and lube oil system of D.E ALCo locomotives. Increase in the capacity of sand box and standardization of Sanding Magnet Valve, Sand Conveyor, Filler assembly & Nozzle on WDG3A Locomotives. Standardization of FT-2 relay valve (alternate to add. C2W relay valve) in brake system of diesel and electric locomotive to increase the periodicity of overhauling from M-4 to M-12. Modification sheet for drainage from alternator room of WDP4 Locomotive. Modification in Expansion tank of WDM3A Locomotive. To provide elbow on breather valve of non upgraded air compressor and provide support to unloader pipe to H.P cylinder on compressors fitted on ALCo type diesel electric locomotives. Provision of Speedometer on WDP4B Locomotive with scale range of 0-140 Kmph. To increase the threshold value for current based wheel slip protection logic on M/s Medha make MEP660 MBCS for diesel electric locomotives. Design modification in unloader and suction valve assembly of water-cooled air compressor of ELGI make. Railway Board vide letter no. 2000 M (L) 466/9 dated 06.06.03 advised RDSO to issue necessary drawings/specification, instructions and likely sources for modifications for Crew Friendly Driver's Cab, to be carried out by Railways. Provision of eye type damper in lieu of stem type dampers on high adhesion bogies of WDG3A & WDM3D (with equaliser& compensating mechanism) locomotives. Introduction of oil passage in push rod lifter (Air & Exhaust) fitted with Conventional / FE camshaft for lubrication of cam rollers. Provision of M16 studs in place M10 studs for mounting of Inverter Protection Resistors in 4000 HP/4500HP EMD locomotive to prevent their breakage.
