INTRODUCTION

e.construct a specialist engineering services firm, the headquarters of the company is located in Dubais Internet City, UAE with six regional offices in Egypt, Jordan, India and USA. e.construct was formed in September 2002, by three senior engineers who, until inception of e.construct, were working in the construction industry and among them have combined hands-on experience of almost 80 years in the industry. e.construct is now a team of two hundred (200) engineers, architects and detailers. Our staff is well experienced and worked as managers and employees in various segments of the construction industry. e.construct is also a distributor and provides training and support for engineering software packages which include MIDAS (USA/Korea), ANSYS CIVIL FEM (Spain) & Adapt (USA).

Dr. Tadros is the Chair of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Committee on Bridges. This 81 member committee is known to be the most prestigious in the precast concrete bridge industry in the US. The Committee has contributed to AASHTO Specifications developments to many technical developments in high performance rapidly constructed concrete bridges. He co-founded the structural engineering firm Tadros Associates LLC in Omaha Nebraska in 1997 with two former students. The firm specializes in value engineering of bridges, bridge design, product development, and construction engineering. Clients include the departments of transportation of Nebraska and Kansas, Kiewit Construction Company, LEAP Software, several other structural engineering design firms, and overseas clients in Canada, Korea, Panama and United Arab Emirates. Of notable mention is the companys expertise in the Inverted Tee bridge system for which the company has developed a set of standards for NDOR. The Omaha Public Power District Railroad Bridge 5.90, the Nebraska Department of Roads Clarks Bridge, Skyline Bridge and Arbor Road Bridge, were all recipients of national awards of excellence. The company has worked on one-of-a-kind projects for Kiewit, including the one billion dollar Oakland Bay Bridge, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and a fivethousand-ft long skid beam resisting an incredibly large 200 kip/ft live load.

Books: Principal Author, PCI Bridge Design Manual. I consider this to be my most accomplished contribution to the engineering practice of bridge design. This manual is considered to be the most authoritative book on precast prestressed concrete bridges. It is the first of its kind. I coordinated to work of 25 other distinguished experts who co-authored parts of the Manual. Phase I was released in 1997. Phase II is scheduled to be released in the spring of 1999.

Principal Publications: Over 250 refereed publications and over 300 other publications and presentations on four continents.

1971 - 1977, ECG, ENGINEERING CONSULTANT GROUP Civil Engineer, participated in the hydro-geological studies of the SARIR aquifer, (Great man made river), LIBYA, drilling wild holes, long term pumping test, data reduction, Piezometers installation to 500 m depth and production wells to 80m depth. Also responsible for photogrammetry and geodetic survey, geophysics soil investigation hydrogeology studies of the hydro-agricultural development project, gulf of sire and sari area, LIBYA. The project included the photogrammetry work of 20000 km2 photos in different scales, the construction and computation of 80-second degree precision stations and additional 420 stations for vertical and horizontal control. Distances between horizontal station were about 25 km measured by telleriometer in one shot using tower and night lighting. In addition, three stations were selected for measurement as LAPLACE points for 12 successive nights. Almost 6000 km of spirit leveling was conducted as part of the ground control program.
