Quality of Radio Transmission - Audio Analysis

Audio Sweep from 300 Hz to 3 kHz from one portable radio's external mic input to another radio's speaker output in simplex mode utilizing the Audio Analyzer Option in the Aeroflex IFR2975 The Transmitting radio is interfaced to the IFR Audio Out 1 using the RTX4005 Test Box and RSS Cable, RKN4035. The Receiving radio has a RSM, PMMN4038A, modified with a tap on the speaker inside it that is fed out to the IFR Audio In port on the IFR AC25007 adapter. Frequency used is our FG-1, T/A.
The Analog Mode Baseline is established by sweeping an ordinary XTS3k as it doesnt have any RSS adjustment capabilities to its audio processing:

Here is the same test using a pair of typical XTS5k's. Note the fall off:

The Treble Control adjustment in the RSS is increased which mimics the XTS3k sweep pretty well:

Correction effected here. Value is just a number, not dB:

However, the Astro mode of transmission does not seem to obey the RSS for some reason yet its audio quality is likely only about 5% impaired from Analog. However, more concerning is the level drop and the dip in the middle.

However, increasing the Digital value had no effect at all:

And here may be the reason for the 'unnatural' P25 audio and the 20% reduction in audio quality from Analog that my Capt. Ken measured using his Linux analytical software in the Objective Audio Tests we did a while back:

And neither did the Digital Fixed Gain of the transmitting radio change anything:
