Re: please tell about procure to pay(p2p) && order to cash (o2c) cycle in sd module of abap(urgent)?? Answer
# 8
Procure to Pay - This process is related to buying material from organizations
supplier/vendors for day to day operations.

requisition --> RFQ -->PO --> Receive --> pay

Eg - An automotive service center can buy spare parts from its supplier (like
toyota etc). To buy spare parts they will look for all supplier who can provide
spare parts. This suppliers will give quotes and then the organization
will make a decision from which supplier they will buy spare parts. Then a
purchase order is genearte and supplier will send required spares to
organization. Upon receiving spare the organization will match and recieive
products in their inventory. Once spares are received payments will be
made to supplier.

Order to Cash - This cycle is related to selling of
products and services to customers.

Customer --> Order --> Book --> schedule --> WO Completion
(optional) --> Pick release --> Ship cofirm --> AR

Eg - (i will continuue with automotive service center)
I take my car for repair to this automotive service center. Since i need a
service/products from this organization, i become a customer for them. They will
then take a look at my car and suggest me service/products i need to buy. (all
that will become items which i am purchasing from them). Upon completion of
repair of my car i will get the invoice. Once i get invoice from organization, i
can make payments against that.

Re: What is the use of pricing date in condition type? Answer
# 2
Pricing date is the date in which the condition records are accesed. For eg:
lets say you have the price of the material as 1000Rs till Mar 2008 as per the
validity period of condition record and from april the same price of the
material is 2000Rs as per the validity period of the condition record. Now your
pricing date in the Sales doc determines as which price should be taken into
account. Hope you are clear now.

Re: can anybody get me some examples for gap analysis? Answer
# 2
Hello.
GAP analysis is done in Blue Print stage. It aims to understand what can be done
with the standard SAP and how the client actually wants a particular scenario to
be processed. And to understand the GAP between the actual & required scenarios.

For eg: in standard SAP there will be no Availability check done at Quotation
Level. But client requests that Availability check be done at Quotation level
also sothat that will give him an idea roughly when the delivery could
me made (remember that doesnot transfer requirements). Accordingly his customer
can proceed with placing an order or not as per his requirement. Please correct
me if I am wrong

Re: can anybody get me some examples for gap analysis? Answer
# 4
I was not satisfied by the above answers. I got this one from sdn.sap and i have
posted here.

A through gap analysis will identify the gaps between how the business operates
ad its needs against what the package can can't do. For each gap there will be
one of three outcomes which must be recorded and actioned, GAP must be closed
and customised software can be developed close the gap, GAP must be closed but
software cannot be written therefore a workaround is required, GAP does not need
to be closed.

In simple terms: Gap means small cracks. In SAP world. In information echnology,
gap analysis is the study of the differences between two different information
systems or applications( ex; existing system or legacy system with Client and
new is SAP), often for the purpose of determining how to get from one state to a
new state. A gap is sometimes spoken of as "the space between where we are and
where we want to be." Gap analysis is undertaken as a means of bridging that
space. Actual gap analysis is time consuming and it plays vital
role in blue print stage.

In customer master data the client requirement needs legacy customer number
which can be solved with User exit.In sales order we need customer Phone number,
we can use user exit If client want new field in customer master like nearest

Re: How do you maintain the free goods condition record? Answer
# 1
T.code:VBN1. you can maintain condition records for both Inclusive and Exclusive

Re: how the customer required delivery date determined? or delivery date determined? Answer
# 5
Delivery date:- the date on which cust. receives goods.

Requested delivery date:- the date on which cust. wishes to have his goods.

confirmed delivery date:- the date on which the arrival of goods can be
confirmed.

Now, for backward scheduling the cust. requested delivery date is used to
calculate the material availability date and transportation lead time. the
delivery must be created on the earliest of the two dates. If both dates are
after the order date and material is availble on the material availblity date,
the cust. requested delivery date can be confirmed .If both dates are before the
order date , confirmation of the requested delivery date can not take place.
Therefore, the system attempts to determine the next eraliest possible
delivery date through forward scheduling.

Re: What is Delivery Group? Answer
# 2
You use a delivery group to determine a common delivery date for all the items
that it contains. If you double the quantity ordered for the main item, then the
order quantity for the sub-item will also be doubled.

Re: what is the diff between sto, inter company and 3rd party sale procees Answer
# 1
For STO following are the minimum requirement
The material code should be same at delivering
plant and receiving plant.
Material to be transferred should be created in both the
plants.
Supplying plant is to be created as Plant as Vendor for the
receiving plant.
Receiving Plant has to be created as Customer.
STO pricing procedure to be maintained.
If requirement are fullfilled STO is generated by receiving plant using docs
type NB, sto generated then Delivery, commercial invoice & excise invoice
While in 3rd party sales it is E1 transaction Distributor raise PO on
manufacturing plant on behalf of delear, material supplied to delear by
manufacturing plant, delear issue form E-1 to manufacure on receipt of goods &
make payment to distributor who will transfer to manufacture, cst exempted so we
can say distributor is sold to party & delear is ship to party. Other part is
same delivery commercial invoice & excise invoice, in sto pricing procedure is
as per cast auditors certificate

Re: Item category group?where do you maintain it? Answer
# 1
we will maintain item category group in material master record in sales

this item category is used in item category determination
( Item category = Item category group + sales document type + item category
usage + heigher level item category ) based on the material type

Re: Except billing where is the touchpont of SD with FI during the transactions Answer
# 1
When u are going to create delivery with reference with sales order ,goods
movement takes place in the background ,that is in case of standard sales order
you create an outbound goods delivery to the customer .Here movement 601
takes place .This movement is configured in mm .Every such movement hits some
g/l account. The accounts posting in FI is done with reference to the
billing documents created in SD .Thus ,this is a link between SD & FI .

Re: why we use partner function in so many places.like in customer master, sales activities, maintain customer record
etc. Answer
# 1
Different individuals in a sales transaction may have different roles for eg the
party which is placing the order can be different from the party at receiving
end. and invoice has to go to a different address which is that of a payer.
therefore to map all these different roles in system we give partner functions.

Re: I want to create a sales order with 10 line items with 3 different payterms ; Is it possible. It is ok even if Invoice
spilt. If ok pls let me know th Control? Answer
# 2
Business item: It allows the business data at header level differs with item
level business data.
 Business data: Business data is nothing but sales,
shipping and billing data that is called as a business data. Ex: We maintain
payment terms in customer master.
When we raise the sales order for this customer the payment terms are copied
into the sales document header from customer master. If we do not maintain
payment terms in the customer and we maintain payment terms in the sales
document header manually then those payment terms applies whole item in the
sales order. If we have number of items in the sales order and if we want to
change payment terms for particular line item, system allows us to do so,
if business item field has been checked. Otherwise system will not allow
changing the payment terms at item level.

# 1
Cross Selling: Cross Selling is a sales practice wherein you offer customers
additional merchandise to that which they are ordering, in an effort to increase
the sales volume. eg:
Suppose you got a call from the customer for a computer, along with that
computer you are going to show him Head phone, Mouse etc. This is what called
cross selling.

The steps are- IMG ---> SD---> Basic Function---> Cross Selling.

The Intercompany ( having 2 company codes and 2 plants, 2 sales org. ) sale in
SAP is nothing but when the customer place the order to company code-1 (selling
company code) if
the selling company Plant is not having stock then will collect the material
from company code-2 (supplying company)plant. For this will create the inter
company customer with
selling company sales area and supplying company code. Here stock transfer from
Plant to Plant is INTRA Company and Stock transfer from Supplying plant to
Customer through
selling sales area is INTER Company sales. The delivery will be from Supplying
plant to customer. In this process first we will get Inter company billing ( IV

invoice F2 billing to customer. For this we need to do Back ground settings.

Billing Document not released to accounting / Accounts determination:
To resolve the error, you can analyze account determination in the billing
document. Process:
Goto T.Code: VF02 & Enter Invoice number
Next (On the top most strip) goto Environment
Next (Select Environment) go to Account determination
Next (In Account Determination) select Revenue Account
Determination (first option)

This will list all the condition types in the Billing document & analyze each
condition & check for which G/L accounts is not determined.

Possible errors:
1. VKOA not maintained for required combination
Solution: Maintain the combination in VKOA.

2. Account Assignment of Customer / material not maintained in Customer /
Material Master (If maintained in combination in VKOA).
Solution:
Option 1 (Standard solution):
step 1: Cancel Billing Document --> Reverse PGI --> cancel Delivery --> Cancel
Sales Order
step 2: Maintain Customer master / Material Master correctly.
step 3: Recreate sales Order --> Delivery --> PGI --> Invoicing.
Option 2:

Impact: This may create accounting document, but if condition type, which are to
be posted to account, but do not have account key maintained in pricing
procedure, it
will not be post the relevant condition type to G/L account.

4. Billing Document not being released to accounting --
In Material Master, there is some link between Profit Centre & MRP Type. If one
of it is not maintained, erratically few documents get stuck while releasing
Billing
Document to accounting. Few of course get posted.
Solution1: Cancel Billing Document --> Reverse PGI --> Cancel Delivery --> Block
the sales Order & Create new sales Cycle all over again after rectifying
Material master.
Solution 2: (Temporary Solution) In Debug mode in Billing, force the Profit
Center in Billing Document with the help of Abaper. But ensure Material master
is rectified.

From FI Side, you require to check that all the G/L account has been maintained
through T.Code: FS00. G/L account being Master data has to be created in each
client to upload
through LSMW / SCATT / BDC.

In Billing Document in change mode (in the first screen where we enter Billing
Document number), on the top most left hand corner, take a dropdown on Billing
Document &
select Release to accounting. Here you can get the under mentioned possible
message:
1. G/L account not found
2. Cost Element not maintained for G/L account.

In both the above cases, FI consultant requires to take corrective action.

This is very specific & differs from client to client & may also differ based on

Access Sequence: If existing access sequence meets the requirement, we need not
create a new access sequence. Considering the requirement for new sequence, the
configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution -->
Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Access Sequence (Access sequence is made
up of
Accesses (Tables) & the order of priority in which it is to be accessed. Here we
assign the condition table to access sequence.
Step 3:
Condition Type: If existing condition type meets the requirement, we need not
create a new condition type.
Considering the requirement for new condition type, the configuration will be
done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function -->
Pricing
Control --> Condition Typ e. It is always recommended to copy an existing
similar condition type & make the necessary changes. Here we assign Access
sequence to
Condition type.
Step 4:
a. Pricing Procedure: It is recommended to copy a similar pricing procedure &
make the necessary changes in new pricing procedure. Pricing Procedure is a set
of condition
type & arranged in the sequence in which it has to perform the calculation.
Considering the requirement for new Pricing Procedure, the configuration will be
done in spro
as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control
--> Pricing Procedure --> Maintain Pricing Procedure.
b. Pricing Procedure: After maintaining the pricing procedure the next step will
be determination of pricing procedure. Configuration for determining pricing
procedure
in SPRO is as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function -->
Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Determine Pricing Procedure.
5. Condition record: Condition record is a master data, which is required to be
maintained by Core team / person responsible from the client. During new
implementation, the condition records can be uploaded using tools like SCAT,
LSMW, etc.

It is assumed that document pricing procedure, customer pricing procedure , ...
are in place.

Sales Document not assigned to Sales Area:
SPRO --> Sales & Distribution --> Sales --> Sales Documents --> Sales Document
Header --> Assign Sales Area
To Sales Document Types --> Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas
(do ensure to maintain combined Sales organization, combined Distribution
channel &
combined division. for eg: Sales org 1000 & sales org 1000, Sales org 2000 &
sales org 2000, & so on ....
similarly for distribution channel & Division, so that the Sales area
combination is available for assignment to Sales Document Type.)

Issues related to Customer Master data:
1. what is the impact of leaving customer pricing procedure & customer statistic
group blank in customer master --> sales area data --> sales tab:
If Customer Pricing Procedure is left blank, Pricing will not be determined.
If customer statistic group is left blank, then data will not flow to standard
reports.

2. Who maintains reconciliation account in customer master?
Ideally, reconciliation account is maintained by FI person, but if SD person is
authorized & has the knowledge of which reconciliation account to be maintained,
then even SD person can maintain the same.

3. Terms of payment appear in Company Code Data & sales Area Data. What is the
impact of each? why is it not populated automatically, once it is maintained at
either
field?
Terms of payment from company code data is for reporting purpose & it is from
sales area data that it flows to sales order.
It is a standard feature of SAP that it is not populated automatically if
maintained at either of the field, but it is a must in sales area data & can be
skipped in company
code data.

4. Unable to select Sales Area for Customer Master Creation?
Most Probably either sales area is not defined or customization not done for
common Sales Org & Common Distribution Channel. To maintain this configuration:
SPRO --> Sales & Distribution --> Master Data --> Define Common Distribution
Channels / Define Common Divisions

Other queries:
Where is the control for Automatic PGI?

client dependent means if we make change in one client it will be reflected in
all the clients.

I.e If we ahve 3 clients: 800,810,820. if we change in 820 it will change in 800
and 810 as well.

Client independent means if we change in 1 client it will not be reflected in
the other clients

No. A product or service is always assigned to just one division.

Re: Can we sell the same material from two different divisions. Answer
# 8
Division in the material master is part of basic data for which you can not
mantain multiple values. One material uniquely belong to only one division. So
question does not
arise of selling same material from two different divisions. Suppose you have
two divisions in your organisation say "motorcycle" & "food supplement". A
material which belong to motorcycle division can not belong to food div in any

Re: In SD, Pricing Procedure determination we have DOC PP + Customer PP + DOC Type & Condition Type, what is
the use of Condition type in determination Answer
# 1
Condition type determines access sequence assigned to it. Based on access
sequence system searches for condition table and then to valid condition
records.

Condition type also determines whether it is statistical or calculative
condition type. It also defines whether it is header or item condition. It
also defines whether it is
group condition. It defines whether manual entry has priority. It controls
whether it is price or frieght or tax.

Re: List the Basic Steps for SD configuration. Answer
# 2
Basic steps in SD configuration in broad sense are:

1. Configuring the organizational structures for sales, which will form a basic
frame work to conduct business processes in sales.

2. Configuring essential fields needed for managing customers/business partners
who fall under four categories such as Sold-to-party, Ship-to-party, Payers and
Bill-to-
party. There are many other business partners associated like sales
representative, contact persons etc. This configuration will enable you to
create master data of
partners properly.

3. When you have the frame work and partners you would like to do business with
them. Business in SAP SD is done using the documet types. So this will be the
third thing
to configure.

4. You need the next thing to report all the business transactions and hence
you need to configure reporting needs by using information systems. Normally
this will be
an optional configuration because of the limitations of the reporting mechanism
in SD information system.

Re: what is the purpose of sales document type? Answer
# 2
A sales document type fullfills a requirement of a specific business
transaction.. for example in a cash sale you would require the delivery to be
happenign immediately after the order and you would require a invoice slip to be
handed over
to the customer immediately after his purchase..These things are customised in
your Cash sales(CS) document typr..

Re: what is the purpose of sales document type? Answer
# 1
The functions of sales document type are :

It can determine whether the sales doc of that type are blocked or not No ranges
for the sdocuments whether a reference doc is mandatory or not whether it should
read cus.material info record whether the system should run credit checks and
how it
should respond etc..

Billing Document not released to accounting / Accounts determination:
To resolve the error, you can analyze account determination in the billing
document. Process:
SHIVA- SAP SD
All Interview Questions

Goto T.Code: VF02 & Enter Invoice number
Next (On the top most strip) goto Environment
Next (Select Environment) go to Account determination
Next (In Account Determination) select Revenue Account
Determination (first option)

This will list all the condition types in the Billing document & analyze each
condition & check for which G/L accounts is not determined.

Possible errors:
1. VKOA not maintained for required combination
Solution: Maintain the combination in VKOA.

2. Account Assignment of Customer / material not maintained in Customer /
Material Master (If maintained in combination in VKOA).
Solution:
Option 1 (Standard solution):
step 1: Cancel Billing Document --> Reverse PGI --> cancel Delivery --> Cancel
Sales order
step 2: Maintain Customer master / Material Master correctly.
step 3: Recreate sales Order --> Delivery --> PGI --> Invoicing.
Option 2:
Force the Account Assignment Group of Customer / Material through Debug in
change mode of Billing document, which will release Billing Document to
Accounting.

3. Account Key not maintained in Pricing Procedure:
Impact: This may create accounting document, but if
condition type, which are to be posted to account, but do not have account key
maintained in pricing procedure, it will not be post the relevant condition type
to G/L account.

4. Billing Document not being released to accounting -- In Material Master,
there is some link between Profit Centre & MRP Type. If one of it is not
maintained,
erratically few documents get stuck while releasing Billing Document to
accounting.

I thing the business process is that what are the steps follow to complee the

1:- Inquery
2:- Quotation
3:- Standard Order
4:- procurement
5:- Delivery
6:- Picking

8:- Billing
9:- Accounting

From these Inquery and Quotaion is not mandatory for the sales process. so you

Re: In my last interview, interviewer has asked me that in credit mgt how we can make one credit limit for three
customer.pls give answer wid clearification. Answer
# 1
there are 2 scenarios

All the three customers are different and have different names.
Then we need to go to FD32 thrice for each customer and assign the credit limit
amount for them separately (which needs ot be same).

secondly there is one customer and is assigned to three sales areas with the
same general data. here, in fd32 we need to define its credit limit for one
sales area and then we need to cap his credit limit by punching the max value
for the customer in all the sales area in fd 32 only.

Yes.

Use the routine in the item catg of standard LF-F8 copy control (Delivery to
Proforma Inv) 010 for LF-F2 so that without PGI you can do billing.

But I hope this will have certain issues such as
1. You can create more than 1 billing doc for the same delivery.

2. There is no control in goods mov. i.e since you create your Inv first, even
if you forget to do PGI there is no check. Hence Physically Stock will be out ,

point of view stock still remains which leads to errors.

Dynamic:
Dymanic credit control taken into account open order, open deliveries and open

2)assign the condition types to the exclusion group(ov32)
3)maintain the condition exclusion in pricing procedure(vok8)
Here select your pricing procedure and click on exclusion button and go to
new entries and specify the condition requirement.
4)assign the condition exclusion and save it
5)goto vk11 and maintain the condition records for condition types for all those
conditions entered in the condition exclusion.

Now raise a sales order and check the condition exclusion group exists or not...

Re: company is dealing vth the hardware and software products. acustomer can purchase both kind of material then
company wants to maintain the credit limits diffrently as per the hardware/software wise. where can we do this
configuration? Answer
# 1
This reply may directly not relate to credit management, but i hope this may be
useful to you. I think u can over come this issue by doing this at paymet
terms level. Because payment terms are at Customer master level.Even if
the customer wants both materials (H/W and S/W) in a single order with
different payment terms this is possible, and the business can offer.
Ex:Let us say that,Customer X has ordered for Y and Z products in single
order, where Y's payment wil be mabe with in three days and Z's payment will be
made for 30 days
because this is not fast movable, and mighet be supported with business by Bank
Guarantee.
This can be done at product(ITEM)level while applying condition records for this
item with pricing element.

Pls clarify if anything wrong i wrote, reason being that i am also learning.

Re: What is difference between Warehouse Management & Lean Warehouse Management? When LMW is used?
Answer
# 1
When you implement the Warehouse Management System (WMS), you manage goods
movements and stock changes in the warehouse at storage bin level. However, if
you implement
Lean WM, inventory management takes place solely at storage location level. The
system does not update the stock data at storage bin level using the quants.

You use Lean WM solely for processing goods receipts and goods issues. Using
Lean WM, you process the warehouse movements in basically the same way as if
using the
Warehouse Management System: you work with deliveries, and you create transfer
orders for these deliveries. These transfer orders serve as pick lists (see also

In the field "payment History" there are two options
1:- With cash disc.
2:-W/o cash disc
it means how the credit value ll update " Gross Total of Cleared Items without
Cash Discount Loss or with loss "

There is no link to the pricing procedure that the discout conditon will valid
or not.

In this case we can put a requiremt in pricing procedure for that conditon type
that if the ( Over all credit status field is blocked / Delivery block due to
Credit limit then
the condition type will not work ) like that.

Hope it will help you.

Re: Who are called Superusers when it comes to training in SAP ? Answer
# 1
Normaly,

There are Consultnats, Power users, End users in a SAP R/3 system.

The users are differentiated by the level of authorization End users-- Normaly
are given authorisation to only specific transactions ( T.codes)-- like creation
of Sale
order, Delivery, transfer order etc etc.. For eg a person in the
ware house would only be given authorisation to create Transfer orders and not
to create Sale orders. SImilarly a sales person will have the authorisation to
create SOs and
not TOs.

Power Users-- People who have additonal authorisations to change or add data to
make the system adapt to day to day business requirements are power users.

Master record creation,Condition record creation..These people sometimes are
also allowed to view the customisation screens and normaly not allowed to make
any changes in the
customisation.

Consultants--
These people (We) mainly work in customisation. their authorisation level
depends on the Server they work on.
For eg: In development server to all screens In testing server except few
critical customisation screen to all screens
In production server-- Not to any screen.. their user role can be changed by the
help of basis to work in production server in case of emergency like they would
like to find
the root cause of the error which happens only in production server and not in
any other server.

The above examples may differ from company to company.

Hope this answers your query

Thanks and regards
Siva

# 6
Account Group decides on relevant fields and the number ranges assigned to
specfic account group.

Account group determines:
The data that is relavant for Customer record It controls Customer master record
by choosing relavant fileds in Sales area in particular to sales, shipping,
billing by selecting options like supress, optional, required and display in

Re: In The return order(After the return order is made)at warehouse it is discovered that all items are not returnable
(Partially returnable) how can we tackle such scenario. Answer
# 1
I may not tell u the specific details. But my stuff will be little bit usefull.
Once you discover that all the items are not returnable, just think of the below
possibilities with the example.
Customer A's invoice contains 15"Blk Monitors - 50 Nos QTY. say that customer
has sent back (returned) all the monitors considering that all got damaged to
the warehouse.
At warehouse we came to know that, only 30 nos are damaged, and we can sent back
the 20 nos of good monitors to the customer. To do this we can use the Free of
charge
subsequent delivery document in SAP sd.and we can take back the 30 no monitors
to the restricted area, and for this 30 nos of damaged goods we can give credit
note.
Otherwise if u already did all items returned, take permission from the WM to
give Credit note for the entire stock returned for that particular invoive
reference.
Another possibility is that, take back the damaged quantity for that particular
invoice reference and give a credit note for the remaining good quantity value.

further explanation pls.

Re: A sales order generated before u change a material price in material master. It will not create the delivery for the

# 2
the main reason for this is that the material can be a free goods or a text item
or a free of cost good

Please kindl go and see in cpp and odp ( order document pricing )

Incase ther is nt problem at that stage then go to item category and see what
is the type of item weterh it is text or not
Incase you dont find any problem in it too then go to pricing proceddure and
see if any tick mark is on statistical condtion of the item( vprs) and also see
if t
you have mentioned r100 or vprs in the condtion type Only in such secnario
will the price not get refelected and in case you you dont want delivery then
simply go to vov8
click on glossory and block the delivery for that material statoing the reson
as price variation

Field catalogue is a table that contains all defined fields with their
respective attributes from all aspects.

Depending on its use, a field can be a characteristic, a basic key figure, or a
fixed field of the aspect's data structure (such as client, value type, and

Hello Friends..

Any SAP SD Consultant- support project has to pick, understand, analysize the
ticket which has been posted by the client on any ticket racket tool/ web
application. Here
all the details regarding the ticker number, date, time, raised by, status,
passed to will be mainted. Support consultant needs to address the issue as per
the client's
requirement which could be high. low, routine importance.

2) In addition Support consultant has to decided wether the requirement is
incident/ change request or development.
Accordigly he has to sit with abap team for any new development which could be
Form, Report, Interface, workflow, conversaion,
3) he also has to give the timely sloution as per the SLA which is service level
agreement.

4) Same time he has to test the new change/ development in the developement
client & gerate-transport the request to the quality. Here is needs to take the
confirmation form
the client about the working of the new deleopment. Then advise to move it to
the Producation,

5) Also he can take frequent meeting with the client to improve the overall the
process efficency & reduce the cost.

Hope this in helpful.

Answer

Hi,
SHIVA- SAP SD
All Interview Questions

Ans to ur 1st question WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN SUPPORT PROJECT? Your main role is
to resolve ticket/issue/bug which is raise by ur end user or super user when
they have
problem in processing any transaction or business process. sap consultant should
solve within prescribed SLA like depend upon sevirioty of the ticket, companies
and client
set the time limit for ticket resolving at the time of implementation or start
support project.

Ans to ur 2nd question HOW WILL U GET THE REQUEST NO? the issue no is recognized
by its request no that will be generated by ur third party tool. Most of the
company will
use tool from which user can log his/her issue. the tool could be alliance tool,
remedy, ovsd-overview service help desk etc. thse tools help to both side to
know the status
of issue whether it is proposed to solve or not or pending or waiting for info
or work in rogress. The moment u receive or assign ticket urself the work clock
start to count timing to resolve. based on this, the company generate bill to
client for his/her services. these toolls managemnet to extract report of
pending issues and closed issues based on that they plan employees work. lot can
be analyse from this tool. But very few company not using tools they just use
outlook express and receive ticket by mail.

Ans to ur 3rd question WHO WILL RAISE THAT NO? Example if u create new
customer/vendor in sap system and wen u will save the document system
automatically generate the
customer/vendor no'. in same way as i told about above tools wen end user raise
ticket/issue by login in tool from his/her id and type there issue details and
saves the
document once he/she save tool generate request id no and it will send to
support team and also this ticket will go to his/her outlook express too in the
form of mail
automatically.

Ans to ur 4th question AFTER RESOLVING THE TICKET WHAT IS THE NEXT PROCEDURE? &
WHO WILL TRANSFER THAT? after resolving issue he/she will test this solution in
development server and quality server and save screen shot of results. and move
request from development server with help basis (as raviraj explained first to
this question) in SE09 or SE10. consultant can release request in SE09 or SE10
and basis consultant will release developemnt to quality server, once it release
to quality server he/she will do testing whether this issue is giving result as
per client requirement. once he tested successfully he/she will mainatain
testing completion documents and again he will
move request from quality server to production server with help of basis
consultant but in this stage to move request from quality to production basis
consulytant require all
supporting documnets like mails, request no, screen shot and approval from
onsite/offshor co-ordinator only then this will be moving to production. once ot
done end user check in production server that ke its working fine then he will
login in support tool (as he
logined for raise ticket) and close the issue from his/her id * password.

Re: What is the use of "Usage" field in the item category determination? please any one kindly give me the answer?
Answer
# 3
there are many kinds of 'usage'. Many of them are hardcoded in the source code,
for example for free goods, packing item generation, retail system...

The only way I know to affect this behavior is use the item usage in the
customer/material info record (details view, tcode VD51, VD52)

You can customize your own in the item customizing tree, and then place it in
the info-record and use it in the item determination.

Re: Explain about Credit Management? Where do you set individual credit limit for customer? Answer
# 1
IN the business giving the credit to the customer is common process in order to
push the business. But we need to track the payments made by the
customers,simutaneously we should
give the credit limit to the customers. So, inorder to do this activity credit
management process is done.

And the customers individual credit limit is going to be set in fd32
t.code.In which the customers individual credit limit Ex:- Rs.100000/- can be
set.

If the customers credit limit exceeds this amt the sales order will be
blocked.

Re: In the Consignment Process in Consignment Issue (CI) transaction if the customer has consumed some goods from
the consignment stock how does the company know about this? Answer
# 2
In the consignment process at first we need to do consignment fill(CF) up by
which the material will be delivered to the customer place but still these are
property of the company. SO when the customer confirmed that he has consumed or
supposed to consume then we make the consignment issue(CI)and then the rest of
the material we ll picked up by COnsignment pickup (CP)

So the variation between Consignment fillup ( CF) and the Consignment pickup
(CP) will be the Consignment Issue (CI). SO company will bill only the
Consignment Issue ( CI)
quatity of the product.

Hence you can't hide anything ..

Re: In third Party sale a sales order of 100 qty of an item raised but vendor supplies 40 qty of that item. Now business
wants to close the sales order. In this case what should be done. please reply. Answer
# 5
Answer 1 & 3 are wrong. Question is not understood well so reply is wrong. Q is
How to close sales Order. There are 2 things to be checked/done.

1) Reduce the quantity backt to 60 in the sales order.
2) Check how Billing is created through copy control. See
item category TAS TCode VOV7 BILLING RELEVANCE

If it is "F" order related than it will be billed for 100Pcs whilst delivery is
only 60Pcs. It should be changed to "K" Delivery Related-Invoices for Partial
Quantity

Or "H" Delivery Related-No zero quantity.

So question is tricky to understand that how further billing is effected for
that proper closing is required.

I am 100% sure that this is correct answer. If any question how it is wrong
please explain me.

It is better to create a document type for purchase order. Because all the time

customer we have to check wether all the material ordered by customer are
available or not:

1. If available, copy PO to SO.

Hi PAUL

THOUGH THE MEANING OYU SAID IS RIGHT BUT THE actual answer is missign .

tHE MAIN REASON FOR doing this is as it tells us about the status of the
material with respect to its moment.

In third party sals though the vendor delivers the goods directly to the
customer but he bills the company for the good dlivered and the company
intrun bills the customer on
f1 billing type.

But inorder to bill the customer the comopany must know the actual qualtity
that has been dlivred and the the no of rejections if any in the delivery (
returns) and need to
bill only once the clinet acknowledges the recipt of goods
in good condtion that is where migo is used as through migo you know the exact
date as to when the goods reached the client and as to when he had acknoweldged
it

Re: plz send how to do testing in sap R/3.... i need the testing process in SAP SD..... Answer
# 1
Hi,

In any SAP Project testing can be happen in 3 phases. Unit testing happens in
Dev server.
Integration and User Acceptace Test happens in Quality Server. These all are
done manually step by step.

We have got standard SAP Test Scripts/prepares based on the
Client/company/Project.

Unit Testing: it can be tested in bits and pieces (Ex: Sales order Creation).

Integration Testing: OTC Flow (Create Sales order to Invoice).

User Acceptace done by the Client in "Q", if they are satisifed with the result
they will give Sign-off for the project.
There is another sort of testing so called Automated Regression Testing. that
can be done by eCATT/IBM Rational Tools.
