Language Arts
In language arts we will be reading: The Little Bus. We will also begin using the childrens names to explore the letters. We will be focusing on Letters: A & B. We will learn the names, sounds, and learn to write these numbers. We will begin working on phonemic awareness, which is the ability to hear sounds and words as well.

Saxon Math

Saxon 1: We will be learning to identify what mathematicians do and make towers and learn about numbers 1 - 9 Saxon K: We will be exploring math manipulates and learning about numbers 1 5.

Social Studies/Science
This week we will explore the season of summer. The children will be talk about how summer affects them and others. We will explore what summer looks like and feels like.

Sight Words

Handwriting
Work with your child on writing both uppercase and lowercase A and B. Make sure they are starting from the top. We will also work on the numbers 1 5 in handwriting.
